Directed by David Yates, who also directed the last 4 Harry Potter Films, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is said to be an extension of the wizard world and not necessarily a sequel or a prequel for that matter. The is the first film in the Harry Potter universe not based on a novel and it will be the screenwriting debut for J.K. Rowling.
