Bloodline Season 3

May 11, 2016

Genre Drama | Thriller

Cast Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, Ben Mendelsohn

Rating TV-MA

Series Premiere May 26th, 2017 (Netflix)

“A family of adult siblings find that their past secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep of a brother returns home.”
“Netflix has released the first teaser trailer and premiere date for “Bloodline” Season 3, which will be the final season of the drama series.

The 10-episode third season will premiere May 26. In the series, the Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community, but their past contains dark secrets that they hope remain buried. Paranoia and mistrust build as lies pile up, alliances are shattered and an unthinkable crime takes place. The tight-knit family’s formerly harmonious relationship deteriorates, and good people are forced to consider doing very bad things.

“Bloodline” stars Emmy winner Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Ben Mendelsohn — who won an Emmy for his role on the show in 2016 — Linda Cardellini and Norbert Leo Butz. It was created and is executive-produced by the Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated writers and executive producers Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television for Netflix.”
— variety.com

Bloodline is easily one of my favorite shows, especially when specifically focusing on intense dramas. I love the setting, the cast, and the overall flow of the show and how it keeps you on the edge of your seat and always guessing. I will be sad to see the series end but I am beyond thrilled for this 3rd and final season which nearly didn't happen! I would have been devastated. Check out the official trailer below!!

Ted Takes Fun Facts, Bloodline:

  • In 2014, Bloodline was announced as a partnership between Netflix and Sony Pictures Television. This was Netflix's first major deal with a film studio (for a TV series).
  • After rumors of Netflix cancelling season 3, the Bloodline Twitter account confirmed there will be a season 3.
  • Ben Mendelsohn (Danny) plays the oldest son, though he is in fact the youngest (born in 1969) compared to Kyle Chandler (1965) and Norbert Leo Butz (1967).

From directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is the newest film in the flashy franchise headlined by veteran actor Johnny Depp. This film looks to again deliver on visuals and action aplenty which is the recipe fans have come to expect. Release Date May 26th, 2017

“Devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchanan butts heads with a brash new recruit. Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.”

From director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief), Baywatch is a comedy based on the hit T.V. show. The film has an impressive cast including Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, and Priyanka Chopra. I wasn't sure what to expect when they first announced this movie but it has a 21 Jump Street vibe to it which is a plus in my book, now I can't wait for it! Hopefully we will see plenty of cameos from my childhood "hero" Pam Anderson and her former co-star David Hasselhoff and if the trailer and cast is any indication, this should be a fun pre-Summer 2017 flick well worth the price of admission! Check out the newly released trailer for yourself below.

Written and directed by David Michôd (Animal Kingdom), and based on the book by Michael Hastings, War Machine is a unique comedy drama that aims to shed some light on the absurdity that is sometimes prevalent in the leadership of our Military. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

May 10, 2016

Director David Bowers

Genre Comedy | Family

Cast Tom Everett Scott, Alicia Silverstone, Charlie Wright, Jason Drucker

Rating PG

Release Date May 19th, 2017

“A Heffley family road trip to attend Meemaw’s 90th birthday party goes hilariously off course thanks to Greg’s newest scheme to get to a video gaming convention.”

From director David Bowers, who previously directed Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules & Dog Days, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul sends the family on a seemingly unforgettable road trip. The cast includes Tom Everett Scott, Alicia Silverstone, Charlie Wright, and Jason Drucker. Check out the official trailer below!!

Ted Takes Fun Facts, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul:

  • Because the release dates of this film and the previous Diary of a Wimpy Kid film are so spaced apart, child actors such as Zachary Gordon from the previous films will not be reprising their roles due to being too old for their characters. Also many of the adult actors have begun working on other projects. So it was the easiest decision to invite an entire new cast for the film.
  • This movie uses plot elements from several Wimpy Kid books.
  • Rowley will have a larger role in the film than in the book, in which he only appears in one flashback illustration.
