Madame Web

Madame Web is a 2024 superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures in association with Marvel Entertainment. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is intended to be the fourth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). The film is being directed by S. J. Clarkson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Claire Parker from a story by Kerem Sanga.

Sony began development on a Madame Web film for its shared universe by September 2019, with Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama hired to write a script. Sanga had written an earlier draft. Clarkson joined the project in May 2020, and Johnson was cast in early 2022, followed by additional castings in the following months. Filming began in mid-July 2022, occurring in Boston and throughout Massachusetts until September, before shooting in New York City by mid-October, and wrapped before the end of the year.

Cassandra Webb develops the power to see the future. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies, if they can all survive a deadly present.

The cast includes Dakota Johnson (The Peanut Butter Falcon, Cha Cha Real Smooth) in the title role, alongside Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria, Reality), Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, Kerry Bishé, and Zosia Mamet.

Bob Marley: One Love is a 2023 biographical drama film directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green (We Own This City, King Richard), from a screenplay by Green, Zach Baylin, and Frank E. Flowers. The film is produced in partnership with the family of the late Bob Marley.

Celebrating the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob Marley’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.

The cast includes Kingsley Ben-Adir (Secret Invasion, One Night in Miami…) as the legendary musician, Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita, James Norton, Michael Gandolfini, James Welsh, Tosin Cole, and Sundra Oakley.

Land of Bad

Land of Bad is a 2024 action thriller film directed by William Eubank (The Signal, Underwater), who co-wrote the script with David Frigerio.

Reaper, a USAF drone pilot, provides air support from a General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper to a US Army Delta Force team on the ground in the Philippines. After a mishap, Kinney, a young JTAC officer attached to the Delta Force team finds himself part of an extraction team relying only on Reaper's remote air support.

The film stars Liam Hemsworth, Russell Crowe, Luke Hemsworth, Ricky Whittle, and Milo Ventimiglia.

Bleeding Love

Bleeding Love is a 2023 coming-of-age drama film starring real life father and daughter Ewan McGregor and Clara McGregor. Directed by Emma Westenberg in her feature length debut, it was written by Ruby Caster from an original story by Caster, Clara McGregor and Vera Bulder. It had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 11th, 2023 using the original title You Sing Loud, I Sing Louder.

A father takes his estranged daughter on a road trip in an effort to get her out of trouble. Along the way they meet all types of strangers, as their strained relationship is put to the test.

The cast includes Clara McGregor, Ewan McGregor, Kim Zimmer, Devyn McDowell, Sasha Alexander, Jake Weary, and Vera Bulder.

Players

Players is a 2024 romantic comedy film directed by Trish Sie, written by Whit Anderson, and produced by Ross M. Dinerstein, Marc Platt, Adam Siegel, and Ryan Christians.

New York sportswriter Mack devises successful hookup techniques with friend Adam and their crew, but when she unexpectedly falls head over heels for one of her targets, they all must learn what it takes to go from simply scoring to playing for keeps.

The cast includes Gina Rodriguez, Damon Wayans Jr., Liza Koshy, Augustus Prew, and Joel Courtney.

The Taste of Things

The Taste of Things (French: La Passion de Dodin Bouffant, lit. 'The Passion of Dodin Bouffant'), previously titled The Pot-au-Feu, is a 2023 French historical romantic drama film written and directed by Trần Anh Hùng starring Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel.

Set in 1885, the film depicts a romance between a cook and the gourmet she works for. The character of the gourmet is based on Dodin-Bouffant created by Swiss author Marcel Rouff in his novel La Vie et la passion de Dodin-Bouffant, gourmet (The Passionate Epicure).

The film premiered on May 24, 2023, at the 76th Cannes Film Festival and was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or in its main competition section, where Tran Anh Hung won the Best Director award. It was released in France on November 8, 2023. The film was chosen as the French entry for Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards. IFC Films and Sapan Studio jointly acquired the U.S. distribution rights and are scheduled to give the film a limited theatrical release on February 9, 2024, before expanding wide on February 14, 2024. The pivotal moment in the 20th century when the French city led the world back to life through its fashion icon Christian Dior. As Dior rises to prominence with his groundbreaking, iconic imprint of beauty and influence, Chanel’s reign as the world’s most famous fashion designer is put into jeopardy. 

The cast includes Emmy Award winner Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior, Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel, Maisie Williams as Catherine Dior, John Malkovich as Lucien Lelong, Emily Mortimer as Elsa Lombardi, and Claes Bang as Spatz.

Tracker

Tracker is a 2024 crime drama series based on Jeffrey Deaver’s 2019 novel The Never Game.

The series stars Justin Hartley (This Is Us) as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family.

The cast includes Justin Hartley, Lee Tergesen, Nicole Anthony, Eric Graise, Matthew Nelson-Mahood, Oscar Chark, and Abby McEnany.

Tracker will premiere Sunday, Feb. 11th following Super Bowl LVIII on the CBS Television Network and available on the CBS app and streaming on Paramount+. Watch the official trailer below.

Lisa Frankenstein

Lisa Frankenstein is a 2024 horror comedy film written by Diablo Cody (Juno, Jennifer’s Body) and directed by Zelda Williams in her feature-length directorial debut. The film stars Kathryn Newton (Freaky, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania), Cole Sprouse (Riverdale, Five Feet Apart), Liza Soberano (Alone/Together), Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest (21 Jump Street, Ant-Man), and Carla Gugino (Spy Kids, Gerald’s Game).

In 1989, an unpopular high schooler accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm and starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.

It is scheduled to be released on February 9, 2024, in the United States by Focus Features. Watch the official trailers below.

Out of Darkness

Out of Darkness is a 2022 British horror thriller, originally titled The Origin, directed by Andrew Cumming in his feature-length debut, from a screenplay by Ruth Greenberg, based on a story by Cumming and Oliver Kassman. The film received multiple nominations at the British Independent Film Awards, including best debut director for Cumming, best breakthrough for Oakley-Green, best music for Adam Janota Bzowski, best hair and make up for Niamh Morrison, and best debut screenplay for Ruth Greenberg. Oakley-Green won the British Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performance on the night.

Out of Darkness had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 6th, 2022. In May 2023, it was reported that Bleecker Street had acquired North American rights from Stage 6 Films, setting a February 2024 release date.

A small boat reaches the shores of a raw and desolate landscape. A group of six have struggled across the narrow sea to find a new home. They are starving, desperate, and living 45,000 years ago. First they must find shelter, and they strike out across the tundra wastes towards the distant mountains that promise the abundant caves they need to survive. But when night falls, anticipation turns to fear and doubt as they realize they are not alone. Terrifying sounds suggest something monstrous at large in this landscape, something that could kill or steal them away. As relationships in the group fracture, the determination of one young woman reveals the terrible actions taken to survive.

The cast includes Safia Oakley-Green, Chuku Modu, Kit Young, Iola Evans, Luna Mwezi, and Arno Luening.

Suncoast

Suncoast is a 2024 coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Laura Chinn in her feature directorial debut. Chinn's screenplay was included in the 2020 Black List, and is also based on Chinn’s life experience from the early 2000s. The film is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21st, 2024,

Inspired by the semi-autobiographical story of a teenager (Nico Parker) who, while caring for her brother along with her audacious mother (Laura Linney), strikes up an unlikely friendship with an eccentric activist (Woody Harrelson) who is protesting one of the most landmark medical cases of all time.

The cast includes Laura Linney, Nico Parker, Ella Anderson, Daniella Taylor, Amarr, Ariel Martin, and Woody Harrelson.

Argylle

Argylle is an upcoming spy action comedy film directed and produced by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, Kingsman: The Secret Service), and written by Jason Fuchs. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Mission: Impossible - Fallout), Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3, Jurassic World), Sam Rockwell (Jojo Rabbit, Iron Man 2), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Asteroid City), Catherine O'Hara (Home Alone, Schitt’s Creek), Dua Lipa (Barbie), Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), John Cena (Bumblebee, The Suicide Squad), and Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Avengers: Endgame).

Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard), an introverted spy novelist who seldom leaves her home, is drawn into the real world of espionage when the plots of her books get a little too close to the activities of a sinister underground syndicate. When Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a spy, shows up to save her (he says) from being kidnapped or killed (or both), Elly and her beloved cat Alfie are plunged into a covert world where nothing, and no one, is what it seems.

Argylle is scheduled to be released in the United States on February 2, 2024, by Universal Pictures theatrically, and on Apple TV+ at an undetermined date. Watch the official trailer below.

Orion and the Dark

Orion and the Dark is a 2024 animated fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Sean Charmatz (in his feature directorial debut) and written by Charlie Kaufman, based on the award-winning children's book of the same name by Emma Yarlett. The film is produced by DreamWorks Animation.

Orion seems a lot like your average elementary school kid, shy, un-assuming, harboring a secret crush. But underneath his seemingly normal exterior, Orion is a very anxious boy, completely consumed by irrational fears of bees, dogs, the ocean, cell-phone waves, murderous gutter clowns and even falling off of a cliff. But of all his fears, the thing he's the most afraid of is what he confronts on a nightly basis: the Dark.

The Promised Land

The Promised Land is a 2024 period drama directed by Nikolaj Arcel, from a screenplay by Anders Thomas Jensen and Arcel.

In 18th century Denmark, Captain Ludvig Kahlen (Mads Mikkelsen) – a proud, ambitious, but impoverished war hero -- sets out to tame a vast, uninhabitable land on which seemingly nothing can grow. He seeks to start farming crops, build a colony in the name of the King, and gain a noble title for himself. This beautiful but forbidding area also happens to be under the rule of the merciless Frederik De Schinkel, a preening nobleman who realizes the threat Kahlen represents to his power.

Masters of the Air

Masters of the Air is a 2024 war drama streaming television miniseries created by John Shiban and John Orloff and developed by Orloff for Apple TV+. It is based on the 2007 book Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought The Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller and follows the actions of the 100th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.

The series serves as a companion to Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010), both HBO originals. It is also the first series to be produced by Apple Studios, in cooperation with Playtone, Parliament of Owls, and Amblin Television.

The cast includes Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Barry Keoghan, Nikolai Kinski, Stephen Campbell Moore, Sawyer Spielberg, Isabel May, and James Murray.

American Star

American Star is a 2024 drama thriller film from director Gonzalo López-Gallego, from a screenplay by Nacho Faerna. Filming took place in the famous Canary Islands of Spain, a popular tourist destination.

An assassin (Ian McShane) on final assignment arrives in Fuerteventura to kill a man he has never met. But when the target is delayed, instead of following protocol he stays; drawn to the island, the people, and a ghostly shipwreck. When the target returns, the world has shifted. Before everything was simple- now nothing is.
