Trigger Warning

Trigger Warning is a 2024 action thriller film directed by Mouly Surya in her English-language film debut, from a screenplay by John Brancato, Josh Olson, and Halley Gross. Produced by Thunder Road Films and Lady Spitfire, the film is based on a short story by Otep Shamaya.

A skilled Special Forces commando (Jessica Alba) takes ownership of her father's bar after he suddenly dies, and soon finds herself at odds with a violent gang running rampant in her hometown.

The cast includes Jessica Alba, Mark Webber, Tone Bell, Jake Weary, Gabriel Basso, and Anthony Michael Hall.

Inside Out 2

June 9, 2024

Inside Out 2 is a 2024 animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is directed by Kelsey Mann (Party Central). Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, and Diane Lane all return to reprise their roles from Inside Out (2015), with Maya Hawke joining the voice cast as the new Emotion: Anxiety.

Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.

Presumed Innocent

Presumed Innocent 2024 eight-part limited series starring and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal, from David E. Kelley and executive producer J.J. Abrams. The series is from Bad Robot Productions and David E. Kelley Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Bad Robot is under an overall deal.

Based on The New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, the gripping series takes viewers on a journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys' office when chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich (played by Gyllenhaal) is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.

The cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard, Kingston Rumi Southwick, and Elizabeth Marvel.

Presumed Innocent is set to debut Wednesday June 12th on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes, followed by a new episode every Wednesday through July 24. Watch the official trailer below.

Tuesday is a 2023 fantasy drama film written and directed by Daina O. Pusic in her feature directorial debut. A co-production between A24, the BFI and BBC Film, it had its world premiere at the 50th Telluride Film Festival on September 1st, 2023.

A mother and her teenage daughter must confront Death when it arrives in the form of an astonishing talking bird.

The cast includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Daina Oniunas-Pusic, Arinzé Kene, Lola Petticrew, and Leah Harvey.

House of the Dragon: Season 2

House of the Dragon is an American fantasy drama television series created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO. A prequel to Game of Thrones (2011–2019), it is the second television series in the A Song of Ice and Fire franchise. Condal and Miguel Sapochnik served as the showrunners for the first season. Based on parts of Martin's 2018 book Fire & Blood, the series begins about 100 years after the Seven Kingdoms are united by the Targaryen Conquest, nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, and 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen. Featuring an ensemble cast, the show portrays the events leading up to the beginning of the decline of House Targaryen, a devastating war of succession known as the "Dance of the Dragons".

House of the Dragon received a straight-to-series order in October 2019, with casting beginning in July 2020 and principal photography starting in April 2021 in the United Kingdom. The series premiered on August 21, 2022, with the first season consisting of ten episodes. Five days after its premiere, the series was renewed for a second season. Sapochnik departed as showrunner after the first season, leaving Condal to serve as the sole showrunner for the second season. Bad Boys: Ride or Die

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is a 2024 action comedy directed by Adil & Bilall (Bad Boys for Life), from a screenplay by Chris Bremner and based on characters created by George Gallo. The film is produced by Columbia Pictures in association with 2.0 Entertainment, Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Westbrook Studios, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the sequel to Bad Boys for Life (2020) and the fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise.

A modern, highly specialized police unit collides with the Bad Boys when a new threat emerges in Miami.

The cast includes Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith, Tiffany Haddish, and Joe Pantoliano.

The Watchers

The Watchers is a 2024 horror thriller film written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, and based on the novel by A.M. Shine. The film is produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan and Nimitt Mankad. The executive producers are Jo Homewood and Stephen Dembitzer.

Mina, a 28-year-old artist, gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.

The cast includes Dakota Fanning (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Ocean’s Eight), Georgina Campbell (Barbarian, Suspicion), Oliver Finnegan (Creeped Out, Outlander) and Olwen Fouere (The Northman, The Tourist). The film is produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan and Nimitt Mankad. The executive producers are Jo Homewood, and Stephen Dembitzer.

Hit Man

Hit Man is a 2024 action comedy from Academy Award-nominated writer/director Richard Linklater, co-written by and also starring Glen Powell. The duo wrote the screenplay based on the 2001 Texas Monthly magazine article of the same name by Skip Hollandsworth. The film premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 5th, 2023.

Inspired by the unbelievable true story, a strait-laced professor (Glen Powell) uncovers his hidden talent as a fake hit man in undercover police stings. He meets his match in a client (Adria Arjona) who steals his heart and ignites a powder keg of deception, delight, and mixed-up identities.

The cast includes Glen Powell, Adria Arjona, Austin Amelio, Retta, and Molly Bernard.

Babes is a 2024 coming-of-age comedy directed by Pamela Adlon, written by Ilana Glazer and Josh Rabinowitz, and starring Glazer. It is Adlon's feature directorial debut.

Inseparable childhood best friends Eden (Ilana Glazer) and Dawn (Michelle Buteau), having grown up together in NYC, are now firmly in different phases of adulthood. When carefree and single Eden decides to have a baby on her own after a one-night stand, their friendship faces its greatest challenge.

The Dead Don't Hurt is a 2023 Western drama film written, directed, produced, composed by and starring Viggo Mortensen. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on September 8th.

When the man she loves, Holger Olsen, goes off to fight in the Civil War, Vivienne Le Coudy must fend for herself in a place controlled by a corrupt mayor and his unscrupulous business partner. When Olsen returns from the war, he and Vivienne must confront and make peace with the person each has become.

The cast includes Viggo Mortensen, Vicky Krieps, Solly McLeod, Garret Dillahunt, Colin Morgan, Ray McKinnon, Luke Reilly, Atlas Green and Danny Huston.

The downfall of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, amid the team's drive to win a championship under coach Doc Rivers.

In a Violent Nature

In a Violent Nature is a 2024 horror slasher film written and directed by Chris Nash. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24th, 2024 as part of the festivals “Midnight” program. The film is said to emphasize static long take shots and does not have a musical score.

When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year-old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back -- along with anyone in his way.

The cast includes Ry Barrett, Charlotte Creaghan, Liam Leone, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, and Reece Presley.

Ezra is a 2023 comedy drama film directed by Tony Goldwyn and written by Tony Spiridakis. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9th, 2023.

Max Brandel, a stand-up comedian living with his father, Stan, struggles to co-parent his autistic son Ezra with his ex-wife, Jenna. When faced with difficult decisions about their son’s future, Max and Ezra set out on a cross-country road trip.

Nora, Ginny, and Mary have been best friends since being inseparable at summer camp. As the years have passed, they’ve seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others excitedly. Each of their lives might not be where they’d imagined, but one thing is for sure — Nora, Ginny, and Mary need each other, and summer camp reminds them why.

Eric is a 2024 six-part British psychological thriller television miniseries created for the streaming service Netflix. The script was written by Abi Morgan with Lucy Forbes directing and Holly Pullinger producing the series.

Vincent is a puppeteer in 1980s New York whose nine-year-old son, Edgar, has gone missing. Vincent’s increasingly volatile behavior alienates him from his friends and family. After issues with substance abuse, Vincent becomes convinced that he can reunite with Edgar with the help of his seven-foot-tall puppet, Eric.

The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Ivan Morris Howe, Gaby Hoffmann, McKinley Belcher III, Roberta Colindrez, Jeff Hephner, Wade Allain-Marcus, Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, and Phoebe Nicholls.

MoviePass, MovieCrash is a 2024 documentary film directed by Muta’Ali. It explores the rise and fall of movie subscription service, MoviePass. It had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 9, 2024.

"MoviePass, MovieCrash" chronicles the origin story, meteoric rise and stranger-than-fiction implosion of the theatrical movie subscription app, MoviePass, as told through the eyes of the visionary co-founders. The film details the unique challenges they faced in building the pop culture phenomenon, only to eventually find themselves cast aside, watching from the sidelines, as new executives seized control and havoc ensued.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a 2024 post-apocalyptic action adventure film co-produced and directed by George Miller, who co-wrote it with Nico Lathouris. It serves as both a spin-off and a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), as well as the fifth film in the Mad Max franchise. Several crew members from Fury Road returned for the film, including screenwriter Lathouris, film editor Margaret Sixel, costume designer Jenny Beavan, and composer Tom Holkenborg.

As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and into the hands of a Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. While two Tyrants war for dominance over the Citadel, Furiosa survives many trials as she plots a way back home through the Wasteland.

The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy as the title character Imperator Furiosa, with Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne, and Tom Burke in supporting roles.

Sight

Sight is a 2024 biographical drama film written and directed by Andrew Hyatt. The film is based on Ming Wang's autobiography From Darkness to Sight. Briarcliff Entertainment sold distribution rights for the film to Angel Studios in February 2024.

The true story of Dr. Ming Wang, a poor Chinese immigrant who defies all odds to become a world-renowned eye surgeon in the United States. Set in 1970s rural China, a young Ming faces persecution and despair at every turn; but with the support of his dedicated family and his own unwavering determination, he finds his way to America, attends Harvard and MIT, and helps develop an innovative technology that restores sight in millions. Taking on the seemingly impossible challenge of helping a blind orphan, the resilient Dr. Wang must reconcile with his own traumatic past and face the harsh reality that the strength of his own will can only go so far.

The cast includes Terry Chen, Greg Kinnear, Danni Wang, Raymond Ma, Bennet Wang, Jayden Zhang. Wai Ching Ho, and Fionnula Flanagan.

The Garfield Movie

The Garfield Movie is a 2024 animated comedy film based on the Jim Davis comic strip of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures and Alcon Entertainment (in the latter's first animated film), animated by DNEG Animation, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. Directed by Mark Dindal (The Emperor’s New Groove, Chicken Little) from a screenplay written by David Reynolds.

The film stars Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World) as the voice of Garfield, alongside the voices of Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Avengers: Endgame), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu), Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso), Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live), and Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible films).

Development on a new animated Garfield film began in May 2016, with producers and writers already attached to the project. Dindal was announced as the film's director in November 2018, with production beginning in the following month. Despite Viacom acquiring the rights to Garfield in August 2019, the project was still in production, according to Dindal in December 2020. In November 2021, Sony purchased the distribution rights for the film, outside of China, and Pratt was cast as Garfield, while the animation would be provided by DNEG. The rest of the cast joined in 2022, followed by its official title in September 2023.

The Garfield Movie will be theatrically released in the United States on May 24, 2024. Watch the official trailer below.

Atlas is a 2024 science fiction thriller film directed by Brad Peyton, and written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite. The film is a co-production of Netflix, Safehouse Pictures, ASAP Entertainment, Nuyorican Productions, and Berlanti-Schechter Films. Jennifer Lopez serves as a producer and also stars in the film.

Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. When plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.

The cast includes Jennifer Lopez, Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Mark Strong, and Lana Parrilla.
