“A mother and her young son release unimaginable horrors from the attic of their rural dream home.”
Directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, Eagle Eye), The Disappointments Room is a horror film starring Kate Beckinsale, Lucas Till, Gerald McRaney, and Michaela Conlin. I was suprised to find out the screenplay was written by former Prison Break star Wentworth Miller who continues to make his presence known in movies and television. This is his second writing credit, the first was for 2013's drama/thriller Stoker. Check out the official trailer below.
In this psychological thriller from the director of Eagle Eye and Disturbia, Dana (Kate Beckinsale) and David (Mel Raido) move from Brooklyn to a once-grand southern mansion with their 5 year old son looking for a fresh start. But Dana's discovery of a secret room unleashes unexplainable events that test her sanity and slowly reveal the home's terrifying past.
