The buzz for this film has been incredible and I couldn't wait for the trailer to release, it did NOT disappoint! This is a stellar cast and will surely be the next great romantic comedy. - The movie is based on how lead actor Kumail Nanjiani and co-writer Emily V. Gordon met and fell in love.
- The film premiered at The Sundance Film Festival where it sold to Amazon Studios for $12 million dollars, one of the largest deals in Sundance History. Nanjiani insisted the buyer give the film a theatrical treatment which effectively eliminated Netflix from the bidding war.
