Written and directed by 34-year old actress Greta Gerwig, her solo directorial debut (she previously co-directed the 2008 film Nights and Weekends), Lady Bird is a coming-of-age comedy drama about a girl trying to navigate her final year of high school, highlighted by the unique relationship she has with her mother. I am a huge Saoirse Ronan fan and this looks like yet another gem from A24, who has yet to let me down. The cast includes Saoirse Ronan, Odeya Rush, Danielle Macdonald, and Jordan Rodrigues.
