Directed by Gerald McMurray and written by James DeMonaco (who wrote the other films in the franchise), The First Purge is the prequel to the "Purge" films that feature a time where one day a year society can commit heinous acts, including murder, without consequence. This film will chronicle the first ever Purge and how it came to be. The cast includes Y'Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Velez and Marisa Tomei.
