The critically acclaimed NBC drama This Is Us broke out two years ago with it's debut season and hasn't looked back, stunning audiences with a unique blend of comedy and dramatic real-life situations. The cast is absolutely stellar, and I can honestly say this is one of if not my overall favorite new show simply because of how rare it is for a T.V. show to display this much genuine emotion and heart (keep the tissues close by) - and this show takes risks other shows simply aren't willing to take. Mandy Moore, the youngest actor in the main cast, won her role after an audition suggested by writer Dan Fogelman, whom she knew from working on Tangled (2010).
Almost completely broke when she landed the role of Kate on the series, Chrissy Metz only had 81 cents in her bank account when she auditioned.
Jack, played by Milo Ventimiglia, is the only main character to appear in every episode in the first season.
