Based on the books from author Michael Connelly, Bosch is a crime drama about homicide detective Harry Bosch. Connelly has written a number of books including Bosch, many of which also include his half brother Michael Haller, played by Matthew McConaughey in the film The Lincoln Lawyer. The new season of Bosch finds Detective Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Welliver) investigating a murder at a Hollywood pharmacy that exposes a sophisticated opioid ring and compels him to make a risky maneuver. In the literary world, Bosch is the half brother of Michael (Mickey) Haller from The Lincoln Lawyer (2011). They have the same father, also a lawyer, named Michael Haller. Michael, Jr. is the legitimate son, while Harry Bosch is illegitimate.
Bosch's partner is depicted as having something of a clothes fetish and is heavily into designer fashion. In reality, Jamie Hector has his own fashion label called "Royal Addiction".
