Silicon Valley is a HBO comedy series partially inspired by co-creator Mike Judge's experiences as a Silicon Valley engineer in the 1980s, this comedy series follows the misadventures of introverted computer programmer Richard and his brainy friends as they attempt to strike it rich in a high-tech gold rush. I absolutely love this HBO series and can easily say it is one of my favorite half-hour shows, if you haven’t seen it you better get your ass in gear! The Weissman Score was something created by the writers to try and convey a metric to an audience that might not necessarily be well-versed in computer programming. But the producers had Stanford researchers actually develop a legitimate equation that is slowly gaining traction in the research community.
Much of the main cast were friends or friendly in real life because they knew each other from the stand-up comedy world. Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Kumail Nanjiani, and Josh Brener are all seasoned stand-up comedians.
