Bupkis is a 2023 live-action comedy series described as a heightened, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. The series combines grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known. After watching the trailer the series reminds me of the FX comedy series Dave, and it does look damn funny.
The 8-episode series has Davidson starring and serving as writer and executive producer for the fictionalized version of his life. Edie Falco portrays his mom and Joe Pesci will portray his grandfather. Judah Miller serves as showrunner, executive producer and writer. Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, Erin David also executive produced alongside co-writer Dave Sirus.
The series will include several guest stars, including Charlie Day, Brad Garrett, Simon Rex, Ray Romano, Kenan Thompson, and Chase Sui Wonders.
Bupkis is set to debut May 4th on Peacock. Watch the official trailer below.
