The 355

The 355 is a 2022 spy action drama film directed by Simon Kinberg, with a screenplay by Theresa Rebeck and Kinberg, from a story by Rebeck.

CIA agent Mason "Mace" Brown joins forces with a rival German agent, a cutting-edge computer specialist and a Colombian psychologist when a top-secret weapon falls into the hands of a group of mercenaries. Together, the four women embark on a breakneck mission to save the world while staying one step ahead of a mysterious figure who's tracking their every move.

The cast includes Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong'o, Penélope Cruz, Diane Kruger, and Fan Bingbing, Sebastian Stan, and Édgar Ramírez. The title is derived from Agent 355, a female spy for the Patriots during the American Revolution.

The 355 is scheduled to be released only in theaters on January 7th, 2022, by Universal Pictures. Watch the official trailer below.

The Tender Bar

The Tender Bar is a 2021 coming-of-age drama film directed by Academy Award® Winner George Clooney, and written by Academy Award® Winner William Monahan, based on the Pulitzer Prize winning author J.R. Moehringer's memoir.

It tells the story of J.R., a fatherless boy growing up in the glow of a bar where the bartender, his Uncle Charlie, is the sharpest and most colorful of an assortment of quirky and demonstrative father figures. As the boy’s determined mother struggles to provide her son with opportunities denied to her — and leave the dilapidated home of her outrageous if begrudgingly supportive father — J.R. begins to gamely, if not always gracefully, pursue his romantic and professional dreams — with one foot persistently placed in Uncle Charlie’s bar.

Search Party: The Final Season

Search Party returns to HBO Max for its fifth and final season.

In the new season of Search Party, Dory (Alia Shawkat) enters a very public business partnership with charismatic tech billionaire Tunnel Quinn (Jeff Goldblum) on the other side of her near-death experience. Dory folds her old friends Portia (Meredith Hagner), Elliott (John Early) and Drew (John Reynolds) into the venture as they embark on an altruistic but terrifying journey.

Mr. Mayor

NBC is putting Ted Danson in charge of an entire city. This will surely end well.

Mr. Mayor is a new comedy from 30 Rock creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. Ted Danson plays a filthy rich retired businessman named Neil Bremer who decides to impress his teenage daughter and run for mayor of Los Angeles — and somehow winds up winning. Now Bremer must figure out how to keep America's second-largest city running smoothly.

Mr. Mayor also stars Vella Lovell as chief of staff Mikaela, Bobby Moynihan as interim director of communications Jayden, and Mike Cabellon as chief strategist Tommy.

Season 1 kicks off with back-to-back episodes on Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Pieces of a Woman

From award-winning director Kornél Mundruczó (White God) and executive producer Martin Scorsese, Pieces of a Woman is a deeply personal and tragic story of a woman (Vanessa Kirby - Best Actress Winner, Venice Film Festival 2020) learning to live alongside her loss. The film also stars Shia Labeouf.

The film will receive a limited theatrical release on December 30th, 2020.

After an unexpected event, she starts to hear the innermost wants and desires of the people around her through music. People are unknowingly singing their feelings through popular songs -- just to her. 

The shows premise may not be for everyone, and I figured I would likely find myself in the latter, but having watched the pilot episode I can say with certainty that it is at least worth 40 minutes of your time to see what you think. On the surface the show may feel a little goofy at first, but as you get deeper into the pilot you’ll realize it is actually pretty deep on an emotional level and also includes some great music and a few creative dance routines. Bottom line, this show will put a smile on your face, and may even get you a little teary eyed - but don’t take my word for it, check out the full-length commercial free pilot episode for yourself below!!
