The Life List

THE LIFE LIST is a 2025 romantic comedy drama film. It was written and directed by Adam Brooks, and adapted from the novel of the same name by Lori Nelson Spielman.

A young woman (Sofia Carson) embarks on a journey of self-discovery, working through a list of goals she wrote as a teenager, at the request of her late mother (Connie Britton). As she navigates the messy process of her second coming-of-age, she confronts her grief while finding the courage to live fully again.

The cast includes Sofia Carson, Kyle Allen, Connie Britton, Sebastian De Souza, José Zúñiga, and Jordi Mollà.

The Penguin Lessons

THE PENGUIN LESSONS is a 2024 drama film directed by Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty), from a screenplay by Jeff Pope. The film is based on the Tom Mitchell’s 2016 memoir. The film premiered as a gala presentation at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.

Inspired by the true story of a disillusioned Englishman (Steve Coogan) who went to work in a school in Argentina in 1976. Expecting an easy ride, Tom discovers a divided nation and a class of unteachable students. However, after he rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach, his life is turned upside-down.

The cast includes Steve Coogan, Jonathan Pryce, Björn Gustafsson, David Herrero, Julián Galli Guillén, Aimar Miranda, Nicanor Fernandez, Hugo Fuertes, Joaquín Lopez, Miguel Alejandro Serrano, Ramiro Blas, Florencia Nocetti, Micaela Breque, Romina Cocca, Alfonsina Carrocio, Tomás Pozzi, Vivian El Jaber, Juan M. Barreiro, and Gera Maleh.

A Working Man

A WORKING MAN is a 2025 action thriller from directed by David Ayer, from a screenplay by Chuck Dixon and Sylvester Stallone. Ayer previously directed the hit 2024 revenge thriller THE BEEKEEPER (our full review here), also starring Jason Statham.

Levon Cade (Jason Statham) left his profession behind to work construction and be a good dad to his daughter. But when a local girl vanishes, he's asked to return to the skills that made him a mythic figure in the shadowy world of counter-terrorism.

The cast includes Jason Statham, David Harbour, Michael Peña, Emmett J. Scanlan, Jason Flemyng, and Maximilian Osinski.

A woman in black appears on a family's front lawn and delivers a chilling warning. No one knows where she came from, what she wants, or when she will leave.

The cast includes Danielle Deadwyler, Okwui Okpokwasili, Russell Hornsby, Peyton Jackson, and Estella Kahiha.

Father-Daughter duo Riley (Jenna Ortega) and Elliot (Paul Rudd) hit a unicorn with their car and bring it to the wilderness retreat of a mega-wealthy pharmaceutical CEO.

The Ballad of Wallis Island

THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND is a 2025 comedy drama film directed by James Griffiths, from a screenplay by Tom Basden and Tim Key. The film was an official selection of the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it will premiere on January 25th. The project began as a short film Key and Basden made with James Griffiths and produced by Moxie Pictures.

Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric millionaire lottery winner who lives alone on a secluded island, tries to make his fantasies come true by getting his favorite band McGwyer Mortimer (Tom Basden and Carey Mulligan) back together to perform at a special, private event on his island.

The cast includes Tim Key, Tom Basden, Carey Mulligan, Sian Clifford, Akemnji Ndifornyen, and Arron Long.

After an unexpected death three best friends decide to embrace their golden years together in sun-soaked Palm Springs where the wealthiest one lives with his mother.

The cast includes Matt Bomer, Nathan Lane, Nathan Lee Graham, Linda Lavin, Clinton Leupp, and Bruno Amato.
