MOANA is a 2026 live-action adventure film directed by Thomas Kail (Hamilton), from a screenplay by Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller. It is a live action reimiagining of the 2016 film.
Moana (Catherine Lagaʻaia) answers the Ocean’s call and, for the first time, voyages beyond the reef of her island of Motunui with the infamous demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) on an unforgettable journey to restore prosperity to her people.
The cast includes Catherine Laga'aia, Dwayne Johnson, John Tui, Frankie Adams, and Rena Owen.
MOANA is set to debut in theaters July 10th, courtesy of Pixar and Disney. Watch the official trailer below.
