NONNAS is a 2025 comedy drama film directed by Stephen Chbosky, from a screenplay by Liz Maccie. Production companies Madison Wells and Matador Content purchased Scaravella's life rights and developed the project with screenwriter Maccie.
After the loss of his mother, Joe Scaravella (Vince Vaughn) risks everything to honor her by opening an Italian restaurant with a group of local grandmothers as the chefs.
The cast includes Vince Vaughn, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Joe Manganiello, Linda Cardellini, and Susan Sarandon.
Based on a true story, NONNAS is a heartfelt celebration of the love of food, family and all the ingredients of life.
