OTHER MOMMY is a 2026 horror thriller film directed by Rob Savage, from a screenplay by Nathan Elston (Succession). The film is based on the New York Times bestselling novel Incidents Around the House, written by author Josh Malerman. Savage previously directed the 2023 horror film THE BOOGEYMAN (our full review http://tedtakes.here).
Bela, an 8-year-old girl living in a home with marital problems, confronts a sinister entity that comes out of her closet. The presence, who she calls "Other Mommy," becomes increasingly threatening to her and her family.
The cast includes Jessica Chastain, Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen.
OTHER MOMMY is set to debut in theaters October 9th, courtesy of Universal Pictures and Blumhouse. Watch the official trailer below.
