HOKUM is a 2026 psychological horror thriller film written and directed by Damian Mc Carthy (Oddity). The film will premiere at the SXSW on March 14th, 2026.

When reclusive novelist Ohm Bauman (Adam Scott) retreats to a remote Irish inn to scatter his parents’ ashes, the staff’s tales of an ancient witch haunting the honeymoon suite take hold of his mind. Soon, disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance draw him into a nightmarish confrontation with the darkest corners of his past.

Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair

MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE: LIFE’S STILL UNFAIR IS A 2026 television sitcom miniseries created by Linwood Boomer for the streaming service Hulu. It is a revival of Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006), produced by Satin City Productions, Regency Television, and 20th Television.

After shielding himself from his family for over a decade, Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) is dragged back into their orbit when Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party.

The Mummy

THE MUMMY is a 2026 horror thriller film written and directed by Lee Cronin, and produced by James Wan, Jason Blum and John Keville. The executive producers are Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Macdara Kelleher, and Cronin. The film is described as a twisted re-telling of the popular franchise.

The young daughter of a journalist disappears into the desert without a trace—eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare.

DUTTON RANCH is a 2026 western drama series created by Chad Feehan (Ray Donovan, Lawman: Bass Reeves), based on the characters created by Taylor Sheridan. The series is a spinoff sequel to Yellowstone.

Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton gamble everything on a new life in South Texas, but the promise of building a future far from the ghosts of Yellowstone quickly collides with brutal new realities and a rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.

Every night a shepherd (Hugh Jackman) reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand. When he is found dead, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it.

Mortal Kombat II

MORTAL KOMBAT II IS A 2026 martial arts action adventure film directed by Simon McQuoid, from a screenplay by Jeremy Slater, based on the videogame created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. The film is a direct follow-up to the 2001 film Mortal Kombat, also directed by McQuaid. The film is produced by Todd Garner, James Wan, Toby Emmerich, E. AMERICANA is a 2023 dark comedy crime drama film written and directed by Tony Yost. The film had its world premiere at the South by Southwest film festival on March 17th, 2023.

The lives of local outsiders and outcasts violently intertwine when a rare Lakota Ghost shirt falls onto the black market in a small South Dakota town.

Obsession

OBSESSION is a 2026 psychological folk-horror film written and directed by Curry Barker (The Chair). Jason Blum of Blumhouse serves as an executive producer on the film. Barker was inspired to write the film while watching an episode of The Simpsons where Bart gets a monkey paw and causes a bunch of chaos. The film premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on September 5th, 2025 as part of its Midnight Madness block.

After breaking the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart, a hopeless romantic finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.

MERMAID is a 2025 dark comedy horror film written and directed by Tyler Cornack. The film premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 11th.

Doug (Johnny Pemberton), a troubled Florida man struggling with addiction and personal setbacks, discovers an injured mermaid and takes her home to nurse her back to health. As rumors about the creature spread, he becomes increasingly determined to protect her from those seeking to exploit or harm her.

BACKROOMS is a 2026 science fiction horror film, directed by Kane Parsons in his feature directorial debut, from a screenplay by Roberto Patino and Will Soodik. It is based on the urban legend and creepypasta of the same name that was made into Parsons' YouTube series Backrooms.

A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom.

The cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, Lukita Maxwell and Avan Jogia.

Pinocchio: Unstrung

PINOCCHIO: UNSTRUNG is a 2026 British indie horror slasher film written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 1 & 2). Described as a dark coming-of-age reimagining of the original fairytale, it is the fifth installment in The Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU).

Geppetto introduces his grandson, James, to a magical doll called Pinocchio, who develops a friendship. However, unaware of Pinocchio's naïve nature, James introduces him to the world, resulting in the doll going on a crusade to eliminate all things bad.

A young girl and her brother are awoken by their father (John Magaro) and loaded into the car on an early morning in 2008. As they road trip across the American West, she discovers the truth about their seemingly spontaneous journey.

ATROPIA is a 2025 satire war drama satire written and directed by Hailey Gates in her feature length debut, with Luca Guadagnino serving as a producer on the project. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival on January 25th, where it won the Grand Jury Prize in the festival's U.S. Dramatic Competition despite mixed reviews.

When an aspiring actress (Alia Shawkat) in a military role-playing facility falls in love with a soldier (Callum Turner) cast as an insurgent, their unsimulated emotions threaten to derail the performance.

Julian Sklar (Ian McKellen) was once a star of London’s 1960’s and 70’s pop art explosion, but he hasn’t painted in decades and has been broke for years. His two estranged children (James Corden, Jessica Gunning), desperate for an inheritance, hire Lori, an art restorer and former forger (Michaela Coel), to pose as a prospective assistant in order to access 8 unfinished canvases Julian has buried deep in storage. Her plan is to complete them, then return them to storage, where they are to be “discovered” upon Julian’s death.

NORMAL is a 2025 crime thriller film directed by Ben Wheatley (Free Fire), from a screenplay by Derek Kolstad (John Wick, Nobody), based on a story from Kolstad and Bob Odenkirk. The film was selected for the Midnight Madness program at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, premiering September 7th, 2025.

For Sheriff Ulysses (Bob Odenkirk), his provisional posting to the quaint Midwestern American town of Normal was meant to be a welcome respite from both his marital woes and recent moral injuries in the line of duty. But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality’s tranquil pace, a sordid secret is inadvertently exposed and Ulysses learns that the town is anything but its namesake.
