WICKER is a 2026 romance fantasy comedy drama film written and directed by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson, based on the short story "The Wicker Husband" by Ursula Wills-Jones. The film premiered at the Eccles Theater in Park City, Utah as part of the Sundance Film Festival on January 24th, 2026.
An ostracized fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) commissions the local basketmaker (Peter Dinklage) to weave her a husband (Alexander Skarsgård), but when her wicker creation proves unexpectedly extraordinary, his presence ignites jealousy and upheaval that threatens their quiet village.
The cast includes Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, Elizabeth Debicki, Marli Siu, Nabhaan Rizwan, Richard E. Grant, and Peter Dinklage.
