Sound of Freedom

Sound of Freedom is a 2023 crime drama film directed by Alejandro Monteverde, from a screenplay by Eduardo Verástegui and Rob Barr, with Verástegui also serving as producer. The film is based on the incredible true story of federal agent Tim Ballard, a man who put his life on the line to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers.

After rescuing a boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy's sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.

The film stars Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ, Person of Interest), Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite), Bill Camp (Lincoln, 12 Years a Slave), Kurt Fuller, José Zúñiga, and Scott Haze.

Sound of Freedom is set to debut in theaters July 4th, courtesy of Angel Studios. Watch the official trailer below.

Please note this film is meant to spread awareness about the evil behind child sex trafficking, what is considered to be a form of modern day slavery. Possum Trot

Possum Trot is a 2024 drama film directed by Joshua Weigel, from a screenplay he co-wrote with his wife Rebekah Weigel. The film, which is executive produced by Black Panther actress Letitia Wright, is based on the true story of Bishop and First Lady Donna Martin, and their tiny Bennett Chapel church, in the town of Possum Trot in the woods of East Texas. Twenty two families linked arms and courageously adopted seventy seven of the most difficult to place children in the local foster care system, igniting a national movement for vulnerable children that continues today.

Twenty-two families from a rural black church in the small East Texas town of Possum Trot adopt seventy-seven of the most difficult to place kids in the foster system.

The cast includes Nika King, Demetrius Grosse, Elizabeth Mitchell, and Dianna Babni.

To say the Netflix exclusive series Stranger Things has generated both a mass and cult following would be a severe understatement, and the streaming giant absolutely hit it big with this show.   • Stranger Things directors the Duffer Brothers (Matt Duffer & Ross Duffer) confirmed in an interview with Vulture on August 22, 2017 that the show has been renewed for a third season ahead of the premiere for the highly anticipated debut of season two on October 27th. The Netflix Original Series directors also explained their plans to renew the show for a fourth season as well, saying "We're thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out."

This film will chronicle the first ever Purge and how it came to be. The cast includes Y'Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Velez and Marisa Tomei.
