Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is a 2024 spy comedy television series created by Francesca Sloane and Donald Glover, based on the 2005 film of the same name.

Two lonely strangers land a job working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travels and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. The catch: new identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. & Mrs. John and Jane Smith. Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What’s riskier, espionage or marriage?

The cast includes Donald Glover, Maya Erskine, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, and Paul Dano.

The Promised Land

The Promised Land is a 2024 period drama directed by Nikolaj Arcel, from a screenplay by Anders Thomas Jensen and Arcel.

In 18th century Denmark, Captain Ludvig Kahlen (Mads Mikkelsen) – a proud, ambitious, but impoverished war hero -- sets out to tame a vast, uninhabitable land on which seemingly nothing can grow. He seeks to start farming crops, build a colony in the name of the King, and gain a noble title for himself. This beautiful but forbidding area also happens to be under the rule of the merciless Frederik De Schinkel, a preening nobleman who realizes the threat Kahlen represents to his power.

The cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Amanda Collin, Gustav Lindh, and Melina Hagberg.

Scrambled

Scrambled is a 2023 coming-of-age comedy drama film written, directed and starring Leah McKendrick. The film had its world premiere at the South by Southwest film festival on March 11th, 2023.

Quintessential eternal bridesmaid Nellie Robinson (Leah McKendrick) constantly finds herself between weddings, baby showers, and bad dates. When she begins to feel like the clock is ticking and is faced with bleak romantic prospects, Nellie decides to freeze her eggs — setting her on an empowering journey to a brave new world where she ultimately discovers “the one” she’s looking for might be herself.

Masters of the Air

Masters of the Air is a 2024 war drama streaming television miniseries created by John Shiban and John Orloff and developed by Orloff for Apple TV+. It is based on the 2007 book Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought The Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller and follows the actions of the 100th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.

The series serves as a companion to Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010), both HBO originals. It is also the first series to be produced by Apple Studios, in cooperation with Playtone, Parliament of Owls, and Amblin Television.

The cast includes Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Barry Keoghan, Nikolai Kinski, Stephen Campbell Moore, Sawyer Spielberg, Isabel May, and James Murray.

American Star

American Star is a 2024 drama thriller film from director Gonzalo López-Gallego, from a screenplay by Nacho Faerna. Filming took place in the famous Canary Islands of Spain, a popular tourist destination.

An assassin (Ian McShane) on final assignment arrives in Fuerteventura to kill a man he has never met. But when the target is delayed, instead of following protocol he stays; drawn to the island, the people, and a ghostly shipwreck. When the target returns, the world has shifted. Before everything was simple- now nothing is.

The cast includes Ian McShane, Nora Arnezeder, Thomas Kretschmann, Adam Nagaitis, and Fanny Ardant.

Miller's Girl

Miller's Girl is a 2024 drama film written and directed by Jade Halley Bartlett. In December 2016, Bartlett's spec script for the film was acquired by Seth Rogen's company Point Grey Pictures and listed in the Hollywood Black List of unproduced screenplays. In Fall 2022 Lionsgate Films had picked up distribution rights for the film. Miller’s Girl is set to premiere at Palm Springs Film Festival on January 11, 2024.

A talented young writer (Jenna Ortega) embarks on a creative odyssey when her teacher (Martin Freeman) assigns a project that entangles them both in an increasingly complex web. As lines blur and their lives intertwine, professor and protégé must confront their darkest selves while straining to preserve their individual sense of purpose and the things they hold most dear.

The cast includes Martin Freeman, Jenna Ortega, Dagmara Domińczyk, Bashir Salahuddin, and Gideon Adlon.

The Underdoggs

The Underdoggs is a 2024 sports comedy film directed by Charles Stone III (Drumline, Mr. 3000), and written by Danny Segal, Constance Schwartz-Morini, and Isaac Schamis.

When Jaycen "Two Js" Jennings, a washed-up former pro football star hits rock bottom, he is sentenced to community service coaching an unruly pee-wee football team in his hometown, he just may turn his life around and reclaim his love of the game.

The film stars Snoop Dogg, Mike Epps, Tika Sumpter, Andrew Schulz, George Lopez, Nancy De Mayo, Schelle Purcell, and Gavin Cole.

It stars Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor (The Help, King Richard) as Wilkerson, alongside Jon Bernthal (The Wolf of Wall Street, Baby Driver), Vera Farmiga (The Departed, the Conjuring Universe films), Audra McDonald (Beauty and the Beast, Respect), Niecy Nash-Betts (Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, 21 Jump Street) and Blair Underwood (Gattaca, Deep Impact).

Grappling with tremendous personal tragedy, writer Isabel Wilkerson sets herself on a path of global investigation and discovery as she writes Caste: The Origin of Our Discontents.

I.S.S. is a 2024 science fiction thriller film directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and written by Nick Shafir. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 12, 2023.

Tensions flare in the near future aboard the International Space Station as a worldwide conflict breaks out on Earth. Reeling from this, the astronauts receive orders from the ground: take control of the station by any means necessary.

It stars Jason Statham (Snatch, The Meg), Emmy Raver-Lampman (The Umbrella Academy, Blacklight), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games film series), Bobby Naderi (Argo, Bright), Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show, Creed films), and Jeremy Irons (The Lion King, House of Gucci).

"Mr. Clay" (Statham) is a former operative of a clandestine organization called "Beekeepers". After his friend and neighbor dies by suicide after falling for a phishing scam, Mr. Clay sets out to exact revenge against the company responsible.

Mean Girls

The film stars Angourie Rice (The Nice Guys, Spider-Man: No Way Home), Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana, Ralph Breaks the Internet), Reneé Rapp (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Jaquel Spivey, Avantika Vandanapu (Moxie, Senior Year), Bebe Wood (A Merry Friggin’ Christmas, Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans), Christopher Briney (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Jenna Fischer (The Office), and Busy Philipps (Freaks and Geeks, Dawson’s Creek). Fey and Tim Meadows also reprise their roles from the 2004 film.

Cady Heron (Rice) is a hit with The Plastics, the A-list girl clique at her new school, until she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels (Briney), the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George (Rapp).

Self Reliance

Self Reliance is a 2024 comedy thriller film written, directed by and starring Jake Johnson in his feature length directorial debut. The film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival on March 11, 2023.

In Los Angeles, a disillusioned man receives an invitation to win $1 million by taking part in a reality television game on the dark web. For 30 days, he must outwit hunters attempting to kill him. He realizes there's a loophole to the game – the hunters can only attack him when he's alone – so he attempts to convince friends, family and total strangers that the game is real, and that they must stay with him 24/7.

The cast includes Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick, Natalie Morale, Mary Holland, Emily Hampshire, Christopher Lloyd, and Wayne Brady.
