SCARY MOVIE (also known as Scary Movie 6 during development) is a 2026 horror comedy parody film directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House), and written by brothers Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans, with Rick Alvarez contributing to the screenplay as well. Officially the sixth film, it is a reboot/continuation of the franchise, coming 13 years after the last entry.
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (Ghostface), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.
The cast includes Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Jon Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Dave Sheridan, Anthony Anderson, and Chris Elliott.
