The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry is a 2022 coming-of-age drama from director Hans Conosa, based on the New York Times best-selling novel from author Gabrielle Zevin. Conosa and Zevin have been working together for two decades, collaborating on the romantic comedy Conversations with Other Women (2005), as well as a few other films adapted from novels written by Zevin.
A.J. Fikry’s life is not turning out as he expected and hits emotional and financial rock bottom. He lives alone, his bookstore is in a sales slump, and his most valuable possession, a book of poems, has been stolen. But when a mysterious package appears, he soon discovers he has a second chance at life, and love.
The full cast includes Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men, Good Girls), Blaire Brown (The Big Leap), Lauren Stamile (Burn Notice), David Arquette (Scream), and Scott Foley (Scandal).
