SMILE 2 is a 2024 horror thriller film written and directed by Parker Finn, the man who brought us the 2022 sleeper hit, Smile (our full review here).

About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.

The cast includes Naomi Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson.

Anora

ANORA is a 2024 comedy drama film written, directed and edited by Sean Baker. The film premiered on May 21, 2024 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 24th. 2024, where it won the Palme d'Or, the first American film to do so since 2011's The Tree of Life.

Anora (Mikey Madison), a sex worker from Brooklyn, gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.

The full cast includes Mikey Madison, Mark Eydelshteyn, Yura Borisov, Karren Karagulian, Vache Tovmasyan, and Aleksei Serebryakov.

Andy Goodrich’s (Michael Keaton) life is upended when his wife and mother of their nine-year-old twins enters a 90-day rehab program, leaving him on his own with their young kids. Thrust into the world of modern parenthood, Goodrich leans on his daughter from his first marriage, Grace (Mila Kunis), as he ultimately evolves into the father Grace never had.

WOMAN OF THE HOUR is a 2024 true crime thriller film directed by Anna Kendrick in her directorial debut, and written by Ian MacAllister McDonald. It is based on the life of serial killer Rodney Alcala, who in 1978 appeared on the television show The Dating Game in the midst of his murder spree.

In 1978, serial killer Rodney Alcala appeared on The Dating Game and won a date with bachelorette Cheryl Bradshaw (Anna Kendrick). At the time, Alcala had murdered five women, and his strange facade during the episode later nicknamed him "The Dating Game Killer".

The cast includes Anna Kendrick, Daniel Zovatto, Nicolette Robinson, Tony Hale, Kathryn Gallagher, and Peter Holmes.

EXHIBITING FORGIVENESS is a 2024 independent drama film written and directed by Titus Kaphar. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2024.

To enhance the image, making it resemble early photography, a custom cyan filter made by Schneider Filters that emulated the look and feel of orthochromatic film from the late 19th century was used.

  • The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
