Ted Takes Film Facts, Darkest Hour:

• Veteran actor John Hurt, with 205 acting credits according to his IMDb page, died during the filming. Hurt was supposed to be in the film portraying Neville Chamberlain, but Gary Oldman said in an interview, that because of how sick he was and that he never made it to a reading, Hurt never filmed a scene, as he was being treated for cancer, which later took his life as filming was going on. The film will still be dedicated to Hurt, as it was his final project he was involved with.

• This film is being released on the same day the animated series Justice League (2001) first aired sixteen years earlier.
• Laurence Fishburne was asked to reprise his role as Perry White for a cameo, but scheduling conflicts with other projects made him unavailable on the day filming was supposed to take place.
• The film cast includes three Oscar winners: Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons; and four Oscar nominees: Amy Adams, Willem Dafoe, Diane Lane and Jesse Eisenberg.

I was able to get my hands on the book and it was AMAZING! Such a great read that brings to light struggles within our society that many people may ignore or be unaware of. I am a huge fan of the casting decisions for this film, especially Jacob Tremblay who is a young actor on the rise! • The Punisher made his first appearance in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man # 129 in February 1974. He was originally going to be a minor second string character due to his penchant for killing, but due to his popularity, he became a more prominent figure in the larger MCU.
• With the release of this show on Netflix, there will be 8 superheroes resident to New York City. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Iron Fist, Spider-Man, and of course, The Punisher.
