Resident Evil

Resident Evil is a 2022 action horror streaming television series developed by Andrew Dabb, based on the video game series of the same name by Capcom. It is the second television adaptation of the franchise after the animated miniseries Infinite Darkness, and the ninth live-action adaptation after the film series of the same name. The series does take place in its own original universe but does center on the storyline of the games.

Fourteen years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by infected creatures while being haunted by her past, her father, and what happened to her sister, Billie.

The cast includes Ella Balinska, Paola Nuñez, Lance Reddick, Siena Agudong, and Connor Gosatti.

The Rehearsal

The Rehearsal is an docu-comedy television series created, written by and starring Nathan Fielder, the man behind Nathan For You, and HBO’s How To with John Wilson.

Nathan Fielder returns to television for a new series that explores the lengths one man will go to reduce the uncertainties of everyday life. With a construction crew, a legion of actors, and seemingly unlimited resources, Fielder allows ordinary people to prepare for life’s biggest moments by “rehearsing” them in carefully crafted simulations of his own design. When a single misstep could shatter your entire world, why leave life to chance?

Mrs Harris Goes to Paris

Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris is a 2022 historical comedy drama film directed and produced by Anthony Fabian, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Carroll Cartwright, Keith Thompson, and Olivia Hetreed. It is the third film adaptation of the 1958 novel Mrs. 'Arris Goes to Paris by Paul Gallico. It was the first in a series of four books about the adventures of a London charwoman.

In 1950s London, a widowed cleaning lady falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress, deciding she must have one of her own. After working to raise the funds to pursue her dream, she embarks on an adventure to Paris that will change not only her own outlook -- but the very future of the House of Dior.

The cast includes Lesley Manville, Isabelle Huppert, Lambert Wilson, Alba Baptista, Lucas Bravo, Ellen Thomas, Rose Williams, and Jason Isaacs.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder is a 2022 superhero film directed by Taika Waititi, and co-written by Waititi and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. The film is based on Stan Lee’s Marvel Comics character Thor, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is a direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Filming took place entirely in Sydney, Australia.

Thor is on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced -- a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who -- to Thor's surprise -- inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance and stop him before it's too late.

The cast includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, alongside Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Taika Waititi, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Vin Diesel.

What We Do in the Shadows: Season 4

What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary comedy horror television series created by Jemaine Clement that premiered March 27, 2019, on FX. It is the second television series in the franchise based on the 2014 film of the same name, written by Clement and Taika Waititi. It has been critically acclaimed (particularly for its cast and writing) and nominated for ten Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2020.

A look into the daily (or rather, nightly) lives of four vampires, who've lived together for over 100 years, on Staten Island.

The cast includes Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and Mark Proksch.

The Sea Beast

The Sea Beast is a 2022 animated action adventure film from Academy Award winning director Chris Williams, the man who brought us Moana, Big Hero Six, and Bolt. Williams co-wrote the screenplay along with Nell Benjamin.

In an era when terrifying beasts roamed the seas, monster hunters were celebrated heroes -- and none were more beloved than the great Jacob Holland. But when young Maisie Brumble stows away on his fabled ship, he's saddled with an unexpected ally. Together they embark on an epic journey into uncharted waters and make history.

The cast of voice actors includes Karl Urban, Zaris-Angel Hator, Jared Harris, Dan Stevens, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Black Bird

Black Bird is a 2022 crime drama series developed by Dennis Lehane, the best-selling author behind several crime thriller novels that made it to the big-screen including Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River, and Shutter Island. It is based on the 2010 autobiographical novel In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption by James Keene. The first three episodes are directed by Academy Award nominee Michaël R. Roskam (“Bullhead,” “The Drop”), who also serves as executive producer.

When high school football hero and decorated policeman’s son Jimmy Keene is sentenced to 10 years in a minimum security prison, he is given the choice of a lifetime — enter a maximum-security prison for the criminally insane and befriend suspected serial killer Larry Hall, or stay where he is and serve his full sentence with no possibility of parole. Keene quickly realizes his only way out is to elicit a confession and find out where the bodies of several young girls are buried before Hall’s appeal goes through. But is this suspected killer telling the truth? Or is it just another tale from a serial liar?

The Terminal List

The Terminal List is an upcoming crime thriller series from director Frederick E.O. Toye, who previously directed hit shows like Lost, HBO’s Watchmen, and The Boys. Based on the book series written by former Navy SEAL Jack Carr. The series consists of five books so far: The Terminal List, True Believer, Savage Son, The Devil's Hand, and In The Blood.

James Reece returns home after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed, only to discover new dark forces working against him and endangering the ones he loves.

The series stars Chris Pratt, Taylor Kitsch, Jared Shaw, LaMonica Garrett, and JD Pardo.

Maggie is a 2022 comedy drama series created by Justin Adler and Maggie Mull for the Hulu streaming service.

As a psychic, Maggie regularly sees the fate of her friends, parents, clients and random strangers on the street, but when she suddenly sees a glimpse of her own future, she must start living in her own present.

The cast includes Rebecca Rittenhouse, David Del Rio, Nichole Sakura, Angelique Cabral, and Chloe Bridges.

Minions: The Rise of Gru

Minions: The Rise of Gru is a 2022 animated comedy from directors Kyle Balba and Brad Abelson, from a screenplay by Brian Lynch and Matthew Fogel, based on characters from Cinco Paul. In the same Despicable Me universe, the film is a direct sequel to the 2015 spin-off Minions.

In the heart of the 1970s, amid a flurry of feathered hair and flared jeans, Gru is growing up in the suburbs. A fanboy of a supervillain supergroup known as the Vicious 6, Gru hatches a plan to become evil enough to join them. Luckily, he gets some mayhem-making backup from his loyal followers, the Minions. Together, Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto--a new Minion sporting braces and a desperate need to please--deploy their skills as they and Gru build their first lair, experiment with their first weapons and pull off their first missions.

The cast includes Steve Carell as Gru, Pierre Coffin as the Minions, along with Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, RZA, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lucy Lawless, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo, Russell Brand, Julie Andrews, and Alan Arkin.

The Bear is a 2022 comedy-drama television series created by Christopher Storer. Storer previously directed 6-episodes of the Hulu comedy drama series Rami.

A young chef from the fine dining world returns to Chicago to run his family's sandwich shop.

The Black Phone

The Black Phone is a 2022 horror thriller directed by Scott Derrickson and produced by Jason Blum. Written by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, it is an adaptation of the 2004 short story of the same name by Joe Hill, the son of famed horror author Stephen King. The Black Phone had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 25th, 2021.

After being abducted by a child killer and locked in a soundproof basement, a 13-year-old boy starts receiving calls on a disconnected phone from the killer's previous victims.

The cast includes Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, and Jeremy Davies.

Elvis

Elvis is a 2022 biographical musical drama directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, from a screenplay written by Luhrmann, Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner, with a story by Luhrmann and Doner. Luhrmann previously wrote and directed Moulin Rouge! (2001), Australia (2008), and The Great Gatsby (2013).

The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley, seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker. The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley.

The cast includes Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Helen Thomson, Richard Roxburgh, Olivia DeJonge, Luke Bracey, Natasha Bassett, David Wenham, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Xavier Samuel, and Kodi Smit-McPhee in supporting roles.

The Man from Toronto

The Man from Toronto is a 2022 action comedy from director Patrick Hughes, from a screenplay by Robbie Fox and Chris Bremner, and a story by Jason Blumenthal. Hughes is no stranger to action comedies as he previously directed the Expendables 3 (2014), as well as the Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017), and Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021).

A case of mistaken identity arises after a screw-up sales consultant and the world’s deadliest assassin—known only as The Man from Toronto— run into each other at a holiday rental.

The cast includes Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, Kaley Cuoco, and Ellen Barkin.

Marcel The Shell With Shoes On

Marcel The Shell With Shoes On is a 2021 live-action animated coming-of-age comedy film from director Dean Fleischer-Camp from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jenny Slate and Nick Paley, based on a story the three of them created with Elisabeth Holm. It is based on the short films of the same name created and uploaded to YouTube by Fleischer-Camp in 2010. Slate reprises her voice role as Marcel, an anthropomorphic shell living with his grandmother Connie. The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on September 3rd, 2021.

Marcel is an adorable, 1-inch-tall shell who ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother, Connie, and their pet lint, Alan. Once part of a sprawling community of shells, they now live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy. However, when a documentary filmmaker discovers them, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans, as well as unprecedented dangers and a new hope of finding his long-lost family.

The cast includes Jenny Slate, Isabella Rossellini, Rosa Salazar, Thomas Mann, and Lesley Stahl.

Lightyear

Lightyear is a 2022 3D computer animated sci-fi action adventure film directed by Angus MacLane, written by Pete Docter, and produced by Disney-Pixar. The film is a spin-off of the Toy Story franchise, and will be Pixar's 26th animated feature.

The definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear — the hero who inspired the toy, revealing how a young test pilot became the Space Ranger that we all know him to be today.

The talented cast of voice actors include Chris Evans, Taika Waititi, Keke Palmer, Peter Sohn, and Uzo Aduba.

Spiderhead

Spiderhead is a 2022 crime drama directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Tron: Legacy), from a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. It is based on The New Yorker short story, “Escape From Spiderhead,” by George Saunders.

Two inmates form a connection while grappling with their pasts in a state-of-the-art penitentiary run by a brilliant visionary who experiments on his subjects with mind-altering drugs.

The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller, Jurnee Smollett, and Nathan Jones.

Cha Cha Real Smooth

Cha Cha Real Smooth is a 2022 coming-of-age comedy drama written and directed by Cooper Raiff. His second feature-film, Raiff also stars, produces, and co-edits the film which had it’s world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23rd, 2022.

Fresh out of college and without a clear life path going forward, 22-year-old Andrew is stuck back at home with his family in New Jersey. But if there’s one thing that belongs on his nonexistent résumé, it’s how to get a party started, which lands him the perfect job of motivational dancing at the bar and bat mitzvahs for his younger brother’s classmates. When Andrew befriends a local mom, Domino, and her daughter, Lola, he finally discovers a future he wants – even if it might not be his own.

The cast includes Cooper Raiff, Dakota Johnson, Brad Garrett, Leslie Mann, Vanessa Burghardt, and Evan Assante.

Brian and Charles

Brian and Charles is a 2022 comedy drama directed by Jim Archer, from a screenplay by David Earl and Chris Hayward. Earl and Hayward also star in the film. The rights were acquired by Focus Features at the Sundance Film Festival where it was a 2022 Official Selection, and it is the directorial debut for Archer.

David Earl and Chris Hayward wrote the screenplay and also star. Rupert Majendie produced for Mr Box Productions. Brian and Charles also stars Louise Brealey, Jamie Michie and Nina Sosanya.  Archer, who also edited the film, developed and co-funded the film with Film4 and the BFI.  Archer previously got his feet wet shooting comedy sketches with friends before writing and directing several short films which resulted in winning gold at the Young Director Awards in Cannes for the short film version of Brian and Charles.

Brian, a lonely inventor in rural Wales, spends his days building quirky, unconventional contraptions that seldom work. Undeterred by his lack of success, Brian attempts his biggest project yet. Three days, a washing machine, and various spare parts later, he's invented Charles, an artificially intelligent robot who learns English from a dictionary and has an obsession with cabbages. What follows is a humorous and entirely heartwarming story about friendship, family, finding love, and letting go.

In addition to screenwriters David Earl and Chris Hayward, the cast also includes Louise Brealey, Jamie Michie, and Nina Sosanya.

Brian and Charles is set for a limited theatrical and VOD release on June 17th, courtesy of Focus Features. Watch the official trailer below.
