Wednesday (also known as Wednesday Addams in promotion for the series) is a 2022 comedy horror television series directed by Tim Burton (Batman, Big Fish), based upon the character Wednesday Addams of The Addams Family. It will star Jenna Ortega (You, X) as Wednesday Addams.

The series will be a coming-of-age supernatural mystery comedy focusing on Wednesday Addams and her years as a high school student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her psychic powers, stop a monstrous killing spree of the town citizens, and solve the supernatural mystery that affected her family 25 years ago—all while navigating her new relationships.

Wednesday will be produced by MGM Television, and the series is set to premiere on Netflix on November 23, 2022. Watch the official trailer below.

Fantasy Football

Fantasy Football is a 2022 family sports comedy directed by Anton Cropper (Black-ish, Jessica Jones). A joint production between Nickelodeon Movies, NFL Films, and Genius Productions, the film will debut exclusively on Paramount Plus streaming service. 18-year-old actress Marsai Martin founded Genius Productions, and was recognized in 2020 as the youngest Hollywood executive producer to work on a major production.

A daughter discovers she can magically control the performance of her football-playing father through her gaming console.

The cast includes Marsai Martin, Omari Hardwick, Kelly Rowland, Rome Flynn, Elijah Richardson, and Tony Gonzales.

The Menu

The Menu is a 2022 horror comedy directed by Mark Mylod, from a screenplay by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. Mylod is best known for his directorial work in television, having worked behind the camera on hit shows like Game of Thrones, Shameless, and Succession.

A couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) travel to a coastal island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.

The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Ralph Fiennes, John Leguizamo, Judith Light, and Hong Chau.

The Menu is set to debut only in theaters on November 18th, courtesy of Searchlight Pictures. Watch the official trailers below.

She Said

November 13, 2022

She Said is an upcoming American biographical drama film directed by Maria Schrader (Love Life, Unorthodox), written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz (author of Her Naked Skin), and produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner. It is based on the 2019 book of the same name by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, journalists from The New York Times who exposed Harvey Weinstein’s history of abuse and sexual misconduct against women. The film stars Carey Mulligan (Wildlife, Promising Young Woman) and Zoe Kazan (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Big Sick) as Twohey and Kantor, respectively, and it depicts the work they did to break the story of Weinstein’s sexual misconduct allegations.

The book was optioned in 2018, and the film was announced in 2021 as a co-production between Annapurna Pictures and Plan B Entertainment. Filming took place in New York with cinematographer Natasha Braier (The Neon Demon, Honey Boy). During post-production, editing was completed by Hansjörg Weißbrich and the musical score was composed by Nicholas Britell (Succession, Don’t Look Up).

She Said is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 18, 2022, by Universal Pictures. Watch the official trailer below.

The Wonder

The Wonder is a 2022 period drama film directed by Sebastián Lelio (Gloria, A Fantastic Woman) from a screenplay by Emma Donoghue (Room), Lelio, and Alice Birch. It is based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Donaghue. The film stars Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Little Women), Tom Burke (The Souvenir, Mank), Niamh Algar (Raised by Wolves), Josie Walker, Elaine Cassidy, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Toby Jones (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Dermot Crowley, Brían F. O’Byrne, and Ciarán Hinds (Justice League, Belfast).

Set in the Irish Midlands in 1859 as an English nurse, Lib Wright (Pugh), goes to a tiny village to observe what some see as a medical anomaly and others a miracle, that a girl has survived without food for months. Tourists flock to see 11-year-old Anna O’Donnell (Cassidy), and a journalist has come to cover the sensation as two strangers transform each other’s lives in a story of love pitted against evil.

The Wonder had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival on September 2, 2022, and is scheduled to be released in select cinemas on November 2, 2022, before its streaming release on November 16, 2022, by Netflix. Watch the official trailer below.

A Christmas Story Christmas

A Christmas Story Christmas is a 2022 holiday family comedy from director Klay Curtis (A Christmas Chronicles), based on a screenplay by Curtis and Nick Schenk (Cry Macho), and a story by Peter Billingsley. It is based on the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd. It is the highly anticipated follow-up to the holiday classic, A Christmas Story (1983). More impressive than the fact that it has been nearly 40 years, the star of the original film Peter Billingsley returns to reprise his role.

Ralphie, all grown up, returns to the house on Cleveland Street to give his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had as a child, reconnecting with childhood friends, and reconciling the passing of his Old Man.

Starring alongside Billingsley as Ralphie Parker are Erinn Hayes (“Bill & Ted Face the Music”) as Ralphie’s wife, Sandy; Julianna Layne (“Prodigal Son”) as their daughter, Julie; River Drosche (“Miracle Workers”) as son Mark; Scott Schwartz returning as Flick; RD Robb returning as Schwartz; Ian Petrella reprising his role as Ralphie’s brother, Randy; Davis Murphy (“Looking for Dr. Love”) as Delbert Bumpus; with Zack Ward returning as Scut Farkus; and Julie Hagerty (“Instant Family”) as Ralphie’s mom, Mrs. Parker.

Spirited

Spirited is a 2022 Christmas-themed musical film directed by Sean Anders, and written by Anders and John Morris. It is a modern retelling of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella A Christmas Carol.

A musical version of Charles Dickens' story of a miserly misanthrope who's taken on a magical journey.

The cast includes Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Octavia Spencer, Sunita Mani, Joe Tippett, and Aimee Carrero.

Spirited is scheduled to be released in select theaters on November 11th, 2022, before its streaming release November 18th on Apple TV+. Watch the official trailers below.

Slumberland

Slumberland is a 2022 fantasy adventure film directed by Francis Lawrence (Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay) and written by David Guion and Michael Handelman. It is based on the comic strip, Little Nemo in Slumberland, by Winsor McCay.

A young girl discovers a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland, and with the help of an eccentric outlaw, she traverses dreams and flees nightmares, with the hope that she will be able to see her late father again.

The film stars Jason Momoa, Marlow Barkley, Chris O'Dowd, Kyle Chandler, and Weruche Opia.

Dead to Me: Season 3

Dead to Me is a dark comedy television series created by Liz Feldman and executively produced by Feldman, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Jessica Elbaum. The series premiered on May 3, 2019, on Netflix and stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two grieving women who bond during therapy.

At the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, Applegate received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. At the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, the show received four nominations including Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and two Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Applegate and Cardellini.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a 2022 superhero action film directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the film with Joe Robert Cole. Based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther, it is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to Black Panther (2018), which Coogler also directed in his Marvel debut, and is intended to be the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The kingdom of Wakanda fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T'Challa's death.

The cast includes Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett.

Yellowstone: Season 5

Yellowstone is a crime drama series created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, running for 4 seasons so far and originally premiering in 2018 on Paramount Network. Sheridan, a self-proclaimed crime drama enthusiast who also plays a role in the series, is known for Hell or High Water, Sicario, Those Who Wish Me Dead, Wind River, and most recently the drama series Mayor of Kingstown and 1883, a prequel to Yellowstone. Bottom line, anything he touches is worth watching.

Yellowstone tells the story of the controversial and strong-willed Dutton family in picturesque Montana as they face off against others brave enough to encroach on their land, known as the Dutton Yellowstone Ranch. The primary cast consists of Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Forrie J. Smith, Gil Birmingham, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, and Taylor Sheridan, with several others playing pivotal supporting roles.

Is the show really that good? Well just to give you an idea, Andrew was already a big fan and got me hooked on the show which I BINGED so hard to the point where I was browsing cowboy hats on Amazon, and even started drinking bourbon neat just like John Dutton. Needless to say, my wife think’s I’m ridiculous.

So, when can we expect the latest season of this incredible show you ask?!

Tulsa King

Tulsa King is a 2022 crime drama series from creator Taylor Sheridan, the creative mind behind recent hit shows like Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown. The series will be executive-produced by Sheridan, Terence Winter, Sylvester Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, and Allen Coulter.

New York mafia capo Dwight "The General" Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) is released from prison after 25 years and finds himself unceremoniously exiled by his boss and forced to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a "crew" from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

The series also stars Andrea Savage (I'm Sorry), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Max Casella (The Tender Bar), Domenick Lombardozzi (The Irishman), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jay Will (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), A.C. Peterson (Superman & Lois) with Garrett Hedlund (The United States vs. Billie Holiday).

Falling for Christmas

Falling for Christmas is a 2022 holiday romantic comedy film directed by Janeen Damian, in her directorial debut, from a screenplay by Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver. It marks Lohan's first role in a major production in over a decade following a series of career setbacks while recovering from addiction and legal issues.

A newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.

The film stars Lindsay Lohan, Chord Overstreet, George Young, Jack Wagner, and Olivia Perez.

Teens in a small town come across an object with mysterious cosmic powers and a baffling sort of consciousness. Over the course of a night, the object tests their loyalties and unravels the mystery about their missing friend.

The cast includes Peyton List, Brendan Meyer, Kelcey Mawema, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, and Dylan Schombing.

Armageddon Time

Armageddon Time is a 2022 period drama film written, directed, and produced by James Gray, inspired by his childhood upbringing in Queens, New York, in the 1980s. The film was shot in New Jersey with cinematographer Darius Khondji, and premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on May 19th, 2022.

A deeply personal coming-of-age story about the strength of family and the generational pursuit of the American Dream.

The cast includes Anne Hathaway, Jeremy Strong, Banks Repeta, Jaylin Webb, and Anthony Hopkins.

The Estate

The Estate is a 2022 comedy written and directed by Dean Craig (Death at a Funeral), and is produced by Marc Goldberg, Sarah Gabriel, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Alison Benson.

Two sisters try to win over their terminally ill, difficult-to-please aunt in hopes of becoming the beneficiaries of her wealthy estate, only to find the rest of their greedy family has the same idea.

The talented cast includes Toni Collette, Anna Farris, David Duchovny, Rosemarie DeWitt, Ron Livingston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Kathleen Turner.

My Policeman

My Policeman is an upcoming romantic drama film directed by Michael Grandage. It is based on the novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts. It stars Harry Styles (Dunkirk, Eternals), Emma Corrin (The Crown), Gina Mckee (Notting Hill, Phantom Thread), Linus Roache (Vikings), David Dawson (The Last Kingdom), and Rupert Everett (My Best Friend’s Wedding).

Set in the 1950s in Brighton, a gay policeman named Tom (Styles) marries a school teacher named Marion (Corrin) while being in a relationship with Patrick (Dawson), a museum curator. The secret they share threatens to ruin them all.

It is scheduled to premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, before going into limited release in the United States on October 21, 2022. It will then be available to stream two weeks later on Amazon Prime Video. Watch the official trailers below.

Causeway

Causeway is a 2022 psychological drama directed by Lila Neugebauer, from a screenplay by Elizabeth Sanders, Luke Goebel, and Ottessa Moshfegh. The film had its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2022.

Lynsey, a U.S. soldier, experiences a traumatic brain injury during her tour in Afghanistan which forces her to return home. She struggles to return to her daily life with her mother as she waits for her eventual redeployment.

The cast includes Jennifer Lawrence, Brian Tyree Henry, Linda Emond, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Jayne Houdyshell.

Blockbuster

Blockbuster is a 2022 workplace comedy series created by Vanessa Ramos, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Ramos is best known for her work on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Superstore, and Kenan.

Operating the last Blockbuster Video store in the United States, Timmy Yoon (Randall Park) and his employees fight to stay relevant.

The cast includes Randall Park, Melissa Fumero, Olga Merediz, Tyler Alvaerz, Madeleine Arthur, and J.B. Smoove.

Prey for the Devil

Prey for the Devil is a 2022 supernatural horror film directed by Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism, 13 Sins) and written by Robert Zappia (Halloween H20), based on a story by Todd R. Jones and Earl Richey Jones. It is the final film to feature actor Ben Cross before his death in 2020, and is dedicated to his memory.

In response to a global rise in demonic possessions, the Catholic Church reopens exorcism schools to train priests in the Rite of Exorcism. On this spiritual battlefield, an unlikely warrior rises: a young nun, Sister Ann. Although nuns are forbidden to perform exorcisms, a professor recognizes Sister Ann’s gifts and agrees to train her. Thrust onto the spiritual frontline with fellow student Father Dante, Sister Ann finds herself in a battle for the soul of a young girl, who Sister Ann believes is possessed by the same demon that tormented her own mother years ago, and soon realizes the Devil has her right where he wants her… and it wants in.

The film stars Jacqueline Byers, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Lisa Palfrey, Nicholas Ralph, Virginia Madsen, and Ben Cross.
