O'Dessa

O'Dessa is a 2025 post-apocalyptic musical drama film written and directed by Geremy Jasper. Filmed in Croatia, the film is scheduled to have its world premiere at the 2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival on March 8th, 2025.

In a post-apocalyptic future a farm girl embarks on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. When her journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city, she meets her one true love – but in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test.

The cast includes Sadie Sink, Regina Hall, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Pokey LaFarge, and Murray Bartlett.

The Parenting

THE PARENTING is a 2025 comedy horror film directed by Craig Johnson, from a screenplay by Kent Sublette. I’m embarrassed to admit that it took me much longer than it should have to realize that the title is a play-on-words from the horror film franchise The Conjuring.

A young gay couple, Rohan and Josh, host a weekend getaway with their respective parents in a country house rental. Things take a turn when the three couples discover the presence of a 400-year-old evil entity.

The cast includes Nik Dodani, Brandon Flynn, Parker Posey, Vivian Bang, Lisa Kudrow, Dean Norris, Brian Cox, and Edie Falco.

  • The film is yet another treatment of Richard Connell's 1924 short story, "The Most Dangerous Game".

  • On August 10th, 2019 Universal confirmed they were cancelling the release of the film over backlash of the films premise because of two mass-shootings in the United States. It was announced it would re-release on March 13th 2020. (USA!! USA!!)

  • Bloodshot is one of the most popular characters in the 80 million comics selling Valiant Universe. Bloodshot has sold over 7 million comics in all languages. From director J.C. Chandor (Margin Call, A Most Violent Year), Triple Frontier is a crime drama from the team that brought us the Oscar-winning film The Hurt Locker (one of my absolute favorites). Although unable to direct, The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow served as an executive producer. The film will receive a limited theatrical release on March 6th and will be available to stream on Netflix March 13th. Check out the official trailers below!!

  • Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) was going to direct the movie but left to work on Detroit (2017).

  • The film has been in development since 2010 and over the years a number of big name actors left the project for a variety of reasons including Tom Hardy, Channing Tatum, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mahershala Ali, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Casey Affleck, and Sean Penn.
