IDIOTS is a 2026 crime comedy drama film directed by Macon Blair (I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore, The Toxic Avenger), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Alex Orr. The film premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival under its original title, The Shitheads, which was changed after the film was acquired by the Independent Film Company (IFC Films).
Two unqualified bozos (Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr.) are hired to transfer a rich teen (Mason Thames) to rehab when their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem.
The cast includes Dave Franco, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Mason Thames, Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun, and Peter Dinklage.
