The Dog Stars

THE DOG STARS is a 2026 sci-fi action drama film directed by Ridley Scott, from a screenplay by Mark L. Smith and Christopher Wilkinson, based on the 2012 novel by Peter Heller. It is Scott’s first sci-fil film since Alien: Covenant (2017).

The story of Hig (Jacob Elordi), a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley (Josh Brolin), has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But when Hig receives a mysterious radio transmission, he ventures into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exist.

The cast includes Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Allison Janney, and Benedict Wong.

THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB is a 2025 crime comedy film directed by Chris Columbus from a screenplay by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote, based on the 2020 novel by Richard Osman.

Four irrepressible retirees spend their time solving cold case murders for fun, but their causal sleuthing takes a thrilling turn when they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands.

Idiots

IDIOTS is a 2026 crime comedy drama film directed by Macon Blair (I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore, The Toxic Avenger), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Alex Orr. The film premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival under its original title, The Shitheads, which was changed after the film was acquired by the Independent Film Company (IFC Films).

Two unqualified bozos (Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr.) are hired to transfer a rich teen (Mason Thames) to rehab when their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem.

The cast includes Dave Franco, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Mason Thames, Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun, and Peter Dinklage.
