Starring and executive produced by Topher Grace, Home Economics takes a look at the heartwarming yet super uncomfortable and sometimes frustrating relationship between three adult siblings: one in the 1%, one middle-class and one barely holding on.

The comedy is inspired by the life of writer and executive producer Michael Colton. The series stars Topher Grace as Tom, Caitlin McGee as Sarah, Jimmy Tatro as Connor, Karla Souza as Marina, and Sasheer Zamata as Denise. Also starring is Shiloh Bearman as Gretchen, Jordyn Curet as Shamiah, Chloe Jo Rountree as Camila and JeCobi Swain as Kelvin.

Respect

Respect is a 2021 biographical drama film based on the life of American singer Aretha Franklin. Franklin sang in her father's church choir as a child and grows up to become an international musical superstar and the Queen of Soul, while simultaneously enduring an abusive marriage and actively involved in the civil rights movement.

Directed by Liesl Tommy (in her feature directorial debut), from a screenplay written by Tracey Scott Wilson, the film stars Jennifer Hudson as Franklin. Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Marc Maron, Tituss Burgess, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Skye Dakota Turner, Tate Donovan, and Mary J. Blige are featured in supporting roles.

Thony De La Rosa a Cambodian medical doctor whose son Luca is diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening immunodeficiency disorder. Leaving her husband Marco back in the Philippines, Thony comes to the United States in search of urgent medical treatment for her son, but when the only matching bone marrow donor backs out and her visa expires, Thony finds herself trapped in Las Vegas, forced to support her son by working as a cleaning lady alongside her Filipino sister-in-law Fiona.

  • Was to be released during the 20th anniversary SpongeBob SquarePants (1999), but its release date was moved from 2019 to 2020 to avoid clashing with Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019). It was later moved to March 4th, 2021.

  • Rumored that the film would likely be dedicated to the memory of creator Stephen Hillenburg, who died on November 27, 2018 of ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Ron's Gone Wrong

Ron's Gone Wrong is a 2021 computer-animated sci-fi comedy film directed by Jean-Philippe Vine and Sarah Smith, co-directed by Octavio E. Rodriguez, and written by Peter Baynham and Smith. 20th Century Studios and Locksmith Animation’s “Ron’s Gone Wrong” is the story of Barney, a socially awkward middle-schooler and Ron, his new walking, talking, digitally-connected device, which is supposed to be his “Best Friend out of the Box.” Ron’s hilarious malfunctions, set against the backdrop of the social media age, launch them into an action-packed journey in which boy and robot come to terms with the wonderful messiness of true friendship.

The impressive voice cast features Zach Galifianakis (“A Wrinkle in Time”), Jack Dylan Grazer (“Shazam!”), Olivia Colman (“The Crown”), Ed Helms (“The Office”), Justice Smith (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Rob Delaney (“Deadpool 2“), Kylie Cantrall (“Gabby Duran and the Unsittables”), Ricardo Hurtado (“The Goldbergs”), Marcus Scribner (“Black-ish”), Thomas Barbusca (“Chad”).

It is the sequel to the box office hit Escape Room that terrified audiences around the world back in early 2019. In the sequel, six people unwittingly find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive…and discovering they’ve all played the game before.

The cast includes Taylor Russell and Logan Miller reprising their roles from the first film, alongside new cast members Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Thomas Cocquerel, and Carlito Olivero.

As We See It

As We See It is a 2022 coming-of-age comedy drama series from Jason Katims, the Emmy-Winning creator of Parenthood and Friday Night Lights.

The series follows Jack (Rick Glassman), Harrison (Albert Rutecki), and Violet (Sue Ann Pien), twentysomething roommates on the autism spectrum, as they strive to get and keep jobs, make friends, fall in love, and navigate a world that eludes them. With the help of their families, aide, and sometimes even each other, these roommates experience setbacks and celebrate triumphs on their own unique journeys towards independence and acceptance. Series stars Glassman, Rutecki, and Pien all identify as living on the autism spectrum.

The series also stars Sosie Bacon as their aide Mandy, Chris Pang as Violet’s brother Van, and Joe Mantegna as Jack’s father Lou.

Swan Song

Swan Song is an 2021 science fiction drama film written and directed by Benjamin Cleary and produced by Mahershala Ali, Rebecca Bourke and Jonathan King.

Set in the near future, Swan Song is a powerful, emotional journey told through the eyes of Cameron (Mahershala Ali), a loving husband and father diagnosed with a terminal illness who is presented with an alternative solution by his doctor (Glenn Close) to shield his family from grief. As Cam grapples with whether or not to alter his family’s fate, he learns more about life and love than he ever imagined. Swan Song explores how far we will go, and how much we’re willing to sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people we love.

Alongside Ali, the film includes Naomie Harris, Awkwafina, Glenn Close and Adam Beach in supporting roles.

The Tragedy of Macbeth

The Tragedy of Macbeth is a 2022 historical thriller film written and directed by Joel Coen and based on the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. It is the first film directed by one of the Coen brothers without the other's involvement.

A Scottish lord becomes convinced by a trio of witches that he will become the next King of Scotland. His ambitious wife will do anything to support him in his plans of seizing power.

The film stars Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand (who also produced the film), Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Harry Melling, and Brendan Gleeson.

The Tragedy of Macbeth had its world premiere at the 2021 New York Film Festival on September 24, 2021. It had a limited theatrical release on December 25th, 2021, by A24, and will be streaming on Apple TV+ from January 14, 2022. Watch the official trailer below.

Encanto

Encanto is a 2021 computer-animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The 60th film produced by the studio, it is directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, co-directed by Charise Castro Smith, and produced by Clark Spencer and Yvett Merino, with original songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Set in a fantasy version of Colombia, it tells the story of Mirabel Madrigal, a young Colombian woman dealing with the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers, who must go on a journey to save her family and their house when their magic is in danger of disappearing.

The film stars the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, John Leguizamo, María Cecilia Botero, Diane Guerrero, Jessica Darrow, Angie Cepeda, and Wilmer Valderrama.

Encanto premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on November 3rd, 2021, and is scheduled to be released theatrically November 24th. Watch the official trailer below.
