Beast

Beast is a 2022 survival thriller film directed by Baltasar Kormákur from a screenplay by Ryan Engle, based on a story by Jaime Primak Sullivan. Kormákur is no stranger to hard-hitting films, previously directing the survival thriller Everest (2015), as well as the action thriller 2 Guns (2013) starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. On the writing side, Engle previously penned the screenplays for Non-Stop (2014), as well as three action thrillers in 2018, including The Commuter, Rampage, and Breaking In.

A recently widowed husband returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with his two young daughters to a game reserve managed by an old family friend and fellow wildlife biologist. Soon a ferocious, man-hunting lion begins attacking them and devouring anyone in its path.

The film stars Idris Elba, Sharlto Copley, Iyana Halley, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Riley Keough.

Bad Sisters

Bad Sisters (originally titled Emerald) is a dark comedy thriller series created by Sharon Horgan. Set between London and Dublin, it is based on the Flemish series Clan, which was created by Malin-Sarah Gozin.

The Garvey sisters are bound together by the premature deaths of their parents and the promises they made to always protect one another.

The series stars Sharon Horgan, alongside Anne-Marie Duff (Suffragette, The Salisbury Poisonings), Eva Birthistle (Brooklyn, The Last Kingdom), Sarah Greene (Frank of Ireland, Dublin Murders) and Eve Hewson (Behind her Eyes, The Luminaries) as the Garvey sisters.

Orphan: First Kill

Orphan: First Kill (originally titled Ester) is a 2022 psychological horror film directed by William Brent Bell, from a screenplay by David Coggeshall, and a story by exec. producer David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and producer Alex Mace (who wrote the screenplay and story for the previous film). The film is a prequel to the 2009 film Orphan and stars Isabelle Fuhrman reprising her role from the previous film, with Julia Stiles, Rossif Sutherland, and Matthew Finlan also starring.

Look Both Ways

Look Both Ways is a 2022 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Wanuri Kahiu (first film since her critically acclaimed 2018 film Rafiki) and written by April Prosser. It stars Lili Reinhart (Riverdale), Luke Wilson (Idiocracy), Andrea Savage (Veep), Aisha Dee (The Bold Type), Danny Ramirez (On My Block), David Corenswet (House of Cards), and Nia Long (Big Momma’s House).

On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie's life diverges into parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and remains in her hometown to raise her child, and another in which she moves to LA to pursue her dream career.

Day Shift

Day Shift is a 2022 horror comedy from director J.J. Perry in his directorial debut, from a screenplay by Shay Hatten and Tyler Tice. Chad Stahelski, the stunt coordinator turned director and the man behind the John Wick franchise, serves as a producer on the film.

A hard-working, blue-collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted 8-year-old daughter. His mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income: hunting and killing vampires.

The cast includes Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Snoop Dogg, Scott Adkins, and Steve Howey.

Bodies Bodies Bodies

Bodies Bodies Bodies is a 2022 black comedy slasher film directed by Halina Reijn. It is only the 2nd film directed by the Amsterdam native, an accomplished actress turned director. The screenplay was a collective effort between Sarah DeLappe, Kristen Roupenian, Chloe Okuno, Josh Sharp, and Aaron Jackson. The film had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 14, 2022.

When a group of rich 20-somethings plan a hurricane party at a remote family mansion, a party game turns deadly in this fresh and funny look at backstabbing, fake friends, and one party gone very, very wrong.

The cast includes Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Pete Davidson, Rachel Sennott, Myha'la Herrold, Chase Sui Wonders, and Lee Pace.

Mack & Rita

Mack and Rita is a 2022 is a coming-of-age comedy film, directed by Katie Aselton, from a screenplay by Madeline Walter and Paul Welsh. This is Aselton’s first time back in the directors chair since the romantic comedy The Freebie, where she starred alongside Dax Shepard (2010), followed by the horror thriller Black Rock, where she starred with Lake Bell and Kate Bosworth. She does not play a role in this film.

When 30-year-old self-proclaimed homebody Mack Martin (Elizabeth Lail) reluctantly joins a Palm Springs bachelorette trip for her best friend Carla (Taylour Paige), her inner 70-year-old is released -- literally. The frustrated writer and influencer magically transforms into her future self: "Aunt Rita" (Oscar®-winner Diane Keaton). Freed from the constraints of other people's expectations, Rita comes into her own, becoming an unlikely social media sensation and sparks a tentative romance with Mack's adorable dog-sitter, Jack (Dustin Milligan). A sparkling comedy with a magical twist, Mack & Rita celebrates being true to yourself at any age.

Emily the Criminal

Emily the Criminal is a 2022 crime drama written and directed by John Patton Ford, in his directorial debut. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24th, 2022, to very positive reviews. The rights to the film were purchased by Roadside Attractions and Vertical Entertainment.

Emily (Aubrey Plaza) is saddled with student debt and locked out of the job market due to a minor criminal record. Desperate for income, she takes a shady gig as a “dummy shopper,” buying goods with stolen credit cards supplied by a handsome and charismatic middleman named Youcef (Theo Rossi). Faced with a series of dead-end job interviews, Emily soon finds herself seduced by the quick cash and illicit thrills of black-market capitalism, and increasingly interested in her mentor Youcef. Together, they hatch a plan to bring their business to the next level in Los Angeles.

Emily the Criminal is set to debut in select theaters on August 12th.

A League of Their Own is a 2022 period sports comedy drama television series co-created by Will Graham and Abbi Jacobson, who also stars in the series. It is an adaptation of the 1992 film of the same name with new characters and story lines, about the formation of a World War II era women's professional baseball team.

The cast includes Chanté Adams, D'Arcy Carden, Roberta Colindrez, Gbemisola Ikumel, Kelly McCormack, and Priscilla Delgado.

Bullet Train

Bullet Train is a 2022 action comedy directed by David Leitch, from a screenplay by Zak Olkewicz. Leitch, the accomplished stunt coordinator turned director, has proven himself in the action comedy genre with films like Deadpool 2 and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The film is based on the novel Maria Beetle (published in English as Bullet Train) by Kōtarō Isaka.

Five assassins aboard a fast moving bullet train find out their missions have something in common.

The cast includes Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, and Benito "Bad Bunny" Ocasio.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is a 2022 comedy film directed by Jay Chandrasekhar, and written by Ken Cheng and Kate Angelo, from a story by Cheng. Chandrasekhar previously directed Super Troopers (2001), and The Dukes of Hazard (2005).

Jo Koy stars as a struggling actor, comedian, and single father who attends a gathering of his loud and dysfunctional Filipino American family on Easter Sunday.

The cast includes Jo Koy, Jimmy O. Yang, Tia Carrere, Brandon Wardell, Eva Noblezada, Lydia Gaston, Asif Ali, Rodney To, Eugene Cordero, Jay Chandrasekhar, Tiffany Haddish, and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Reservation Dogs: Season 2

Reservation Dogs is a comedy television series that premiered in 2021, created by comedic genius Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo. Waititi’s reputation speaks for itself, and Harjo is native of Holdenville, Oklahoma, known for films based in his home state and focusing on the Native American population.

Following the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California. To succeed, they will have to save enough money, outmaneuver the methheads at the junkyard on the edge of town and survive a turf war against a much tougher rival gang.

The series stars Devery Jacobs, D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Lane Factor, Paulina Alexis, and Zahn McClarnon.

DC League of Super-Pets

DC League of Super-Pets is a 2022 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film directed by Jared Stern (in his feature directorial debut), based on the DC Comics team Legion of Super-Pets.

When the Justice League are captured by Lex Luthor, Superman's dog, Krypto, forms a team of shelter-pets who were given super-powers: A hound named Ace, who becomes super-strong, a pig named PB, who can grow to giant-size, a turtle named Merton, who becomes super-fast, and a squirrel named Chip, who gains electric-powers.

The film's voice cast includes Dwayne Johnson (who also produces the film), Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz and Keanu Reeves.

The Resort is a 2022 dark comedy mystery television series created by Andy Siara, the man behind the Hulu original comedy film Palm Springs. The first 3 episodes are directed by actor/producer Ben Sinclair, best known for his comedy series High Maintenance.

An anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when a couple finds themselves embroiled in one of Yucatan's most bizarre unsolved mysteries from 15 years prior involving the disappearance of two young adults, a murder and a once in a century hurricane; with everything connected, solving the crime requires unraveling some of life's biggest questions.

Surface is a 2022 psychological drama thriller series created by Veronica West (Ugly Betty, Hart of Dixie, Chicago Fire, Fidelity), and directed by Emmy Award-nominee Sam Miller (I May Destroy You, Luther), directed four episodes of the series including the pilot and serves as executive producer. Kevin Sullivan, Jennifer Morrison, Tucker Gates also directed episodes.

Set in high-end San Francisco, Surface, stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“The Morning Show”) who also executive produces, as Sophie, a woman who has suffered a traumatic head injury that has left her with extreme memory loss. As Sophie embarks on a quest to put the pieces of her life back together with the help of her husband and friends, she begins to question whether or not the truth she is told is in fact the truth she has lived. Through twists and turns and an unexpected love triangle, this sexy, elevated thriller asks: What if you woke up one day and didn’t know your own secrets?

Peele, known for his comedic talents, quickly made a name for himself in the horror thriller genre after his debut film Get Out (2017) which was highly praised by critics and viewers.

Caretakers at a California horse ranch encounter a mysterious force that affects human and animal behavior.

The Gray Man

The Gray Man is a 2022 action thriller film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame duo co-wrote with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Mark Greaney. Produced by the Russo brothers' company, AGBO, the film hopes to start a franchise based on Greaney's Gray Man novels. With a production budget of $200 million, it is the most expensive film ever made by Netflix.

CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He’ll need it.
