Stuart Fails to Save the Universe

STUART FAILS TO SAVE THE UNIVERSE is a 2026 science fiction comedy sitcom created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady. It will be the second direct spin-off of the sitcom, The Big Bang Theory.

Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom from The Big Bang Theory (2007) returns in a new series where he attempts - and apparently fails - to save the universe, staying true to his unlucky nature.

The cast includes Kevin Sussman, Brian Posehn, Lauren Lapkus, and John Ross Bowie.

Motor City

MOTOR CITY is a 2025 crime drama thriller film directed by Potsy Ponciroli (Old Henry, Greedy People), from a screenplay by Chad St. John (Peppermint, Replicas). The film had its world premiere in the Venice Spotlight section of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 30th, 2025.

In 1970s Detroit, John Miller (Alan Ritchson) falls for a local gangster's girl (Shailene Woodley). In retaliation, the gangster enacts a frame job to send the innocent man to prison. Life ruined, Miller plots a revenge campaign against the man who took his girl away.

The cast includes Alan Ritchson, Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, and Pablo Schreiber.

ICE CREAM MAN is a 2026 horror thriller film directed by Eli Roth, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Noah Belson

An idyllic summer town descends into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results.

The Dog Stars

THE DOG STARS is a 2026 sci-fi action drama film directed by Ridley Scott, from a screenplay by Mark L. Smith and Christopher Wilkinson, based on the 2012 novel by Peter Heller. It is Scott’s first sci-fil film since Alien: Covenant (2017).

The story of Hig (Jacob Elordi), a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley (Josh Brolin), has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But when Hig receives a mysterious radio transmission, he ventures into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exist.

THE LAST HOUSE is a 2026 sci-fi horror thriller film directed by Louis Leterrier, from a screenplay by Matthew Robinson.

A family of four are suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out, and must work together to survive against both their dwindling resources and the mysterious, looming threat that is keeping them trapped.

Mermaid

MERMAID is a 2025 dark comedy horror film written and directed by Tyler Cornack. The film premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 11th.

Doug (Johnny Pemberton), a troubled Florida man struggling with addiction and personal setbacks, discovers an injured mermaid and takes her home to nurse her back to health. As rumors about the creature spread, he becomes increasingly determined to protect her from those seeking to exploit or harm her.

Pinocchio: Unstrung

PINOCCHIO: UNSTRUNG is a 2026 British indie horror slasher film written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 1 & 2). Described as a dark coming-of-age reimagining of the original fairytale, it is the fifth installment in The Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU).

Geppetto introduces his grandson, James, to a magical doll called Pinocchio, who develops a friendship. However, unaware of Pinocchio's naïve nature, James introduces him to the world, resulting in the doll going on a crusade to eliminate all things bad.

ONE NIGHT ONLY is a 2026 romantic comedy drama film written and directed by Will Gluck (Anyone But You, Easy A). The film is based on a script from Texas Braun.

Allie (Monica Barbaro) and Owen (Callum Turner), two love-starved strangers crash into each other in an ever-so-slightly fictionalized New York City on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex.

COUTURE (French title: Coutures) is a 2025 drama film written and directed by Alice Winocour. The film had its world premiere in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7th, 2025.

An American filmmaker (Angelina Jolie) in Paris during Fashion Week encounters women from all walks of life sparking a personal journey of self-discovery forcing her to confront the choices shaping her life.

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma

TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA is a 2026 slasher comedy film written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun. Schoenbrun, who wrote and directed the 2024 coming-of-age horror film I Saw the TV Glow (preview and trailer here), compared the concept of the film to Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) set in a Friday the 13th sequel.

A queer filmmaker is hired to direct a new installment of a long-running slasher franchise. The director fixates on the prospect of casting the 'final girl' from the original movie, and the two women descend into a frenzy of psychosexual mania.

ATROPIA is a 2025 satire war drama satire written and directed by Hailey Gates in her feature length debut, with Luca Guadagnino serving as a producer on the project. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival on January 25th, where it won the Grand Jury Prize in the festival's U.S. Dramatic Competition despite mixed reviews.

When an aspiring actress (Alia Shawkat) in a military role-playing facility falls in love with a soldier (Callum Turner) cast as an insurgent, their unsimulated emotions threaten to derail the performance.
