IT: Welcome to Derry

IT: WELCOME TO DERRY is a 2025 supernatural horror television series based on Stephen King's 1986 novel It, serving as a prequel to the films It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). The series was developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, all of whom were involved in the It films.

It will follow the events in the 1960s, the time leading up to the events of the first film in the Stephen King It series.

The cast includes Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, James Remar, Stephen Rider, and Bill Skarsgård.

A House of Dynamite

A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE is a 2025 political thriller film directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by Noah Oppenheim. it follows the U.S. government official response to a single nuclear missile launched by an unidentified enemy. The film had its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2025, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion.

At the White House, U.S. government officials scramble to deal with an incoming nuclear missile launched by a foreign power at the city of Chicago.

The cast includes Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Moses Ingram, Jonah Hauer-King, Greta Lee, and Jason Clarke.

IF I HAD LEGS I’D KICK YOU is a 2025 psychological dark comedy drama film written and directed by Mary Bronstein. It had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival on January 24th, 2025.

With her life crashing down around her, Linda attempts to navigate her child’s mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person, and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist.

The cast includes Rose Byrne, Conan O'Brien, Danielle Macdonald, Christian Slater, and A$AP Rocky.

Honey Don't

HONEY DON'T! is a 2025 dark comedy thriller film directed by Ethan Coen, from a screenplay by Coen and Tricia Cooke.

A small-town private investigator named Honey O’Donahue (Margaret Qualley) delves into a series of strange deaths tied to a mysterious church.

The cast includes Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Charlie Day, and Chris Evans. A new comedy from Ethan Coen. Only in theaters August 22!

Eleanor the Great

ELEANOR THE GREAT is a 2025 drama film directed by Scarlett Johansson, from a screenplay by Tory Kamen.

After a devastating loss, witty and proudly troublesome Eleanor Morgenstein (June Squibb), 94, tells a tale that takes on a dangerous life of its own.

Black Phone 2

BLACK PHONE 2 is a 2025 horror thriller film directed by Scott Derrickson, from a screenplay he co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill. The film, which is a sequel to the hit 2022 horror film THE BLACK PHONE (our full review here), will be produced by Jason Blum for Blumhouse, Scott Derrickson & C. Robert Cargill. Joe Hill and Ryan Turek are executive producer. Universal and Blumhouse will present the Crooked Highway Production.

As Finn, now 17, struggles with life after his captivity, the headstrong 15-year-old Gwen begins receiving calls in her dreams from the black phone and seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp known as Alpine Lake.

The cast includes Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, and Miguel Mora.

Good Fortune

GOOD FORTUNE is a 2025 coming-of-age comedy drama film written and directed by Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation, Master of None).

A well-meaning but rather inept angel named Gabriel (Keanu Reeves) meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Aziz Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Seth Rogen).

The cast includes Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Keanu Reeves.

The Lost Bus

THE LOST BUS is a 2025 drama film directed by Paul Greengrass, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Brad Ingelsby. Inspired by true events, the film is based on Lizzie Johnson’s book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire. Producers include Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions, Jamie Lee Curtis for Comet Pictures, Brad Ingelsby, and Gregory Goodman.

A determined father (Matthew McConaughey) risks everything to rescue a dedicated teacher (America Ferrera) and her students from a raging wildfire.

The cast includes Matthew McConaughey, America Ferrera, Yul Vazquez, and Ashlie Atkinson.

Wayward

WAYWARD is a 2025 drama thriller miniseries created by Mae Martin.

A bucolic but sinister town explores the insidious intricacies of the troubled teen industry, and the eternal struggle of the next generation.

The cast includes Mae Martin, Brandon Jay McLaren, Sarah Gadon, Patrick J. Adams, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Patrick Gallagher, Sydney Topliffe, Joshua Close, and Toni Collette.

Tron: Ares

TRON: ARES is a 2025 science fiction action film directed by Joachim Rønning, from a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne. It is a standalone sequel to TRON: LEGACY (2010) and the third installment in the Tron franchise. Rock band Nine Inch Nails composed the score for the film.

A highly sophisticated Program, Ares, is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission.

The cast includes Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan and Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges.

Roofman

ROOFMAN is a 2025 crime comedy drama film directed by Derek Cianfrance, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Kirt Gunn.

The story of fugitive Jeffrey Manchester, a former United States Army Reserve officer, known colloquially as Roofman due to his propensity to steal from branches of McDonald's after entering their premises via the roof and evaded capture from police by hiding in the wall of a Toys "R" Us store.

The cast includes Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst, Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Melonie Diaz, Uzo Aduba, Lily Collias, Jimmy O. Yang, and Peter Dinklage.

BATTLEFIELD 6 is a 2025 action war thriller videogame developed by Swedish videogame company EA DICE, and published by American company Electronic Arts. The videogame franchise, which is a direct competitor to Call of Duty, made its debut back in 2002 with Battlefield 1942, only on Microsoft Windows and OS X computers. Since then, the series has expanded to consoles and has sold 88.7 million copies worldwide as of November 2022.

The Smashing Machine

THE SMASHING MACHINE is a 2025 biographical sports drama film written, directed, co-produced, and co-edited by Benny Safdie (Good Time, Uncut Gems). Cinematographer Maceo Bishop, who worked with Safdie on The Curse (2023–2024), shot the film on 16mm film. Belgian musician Nala Sinephro composed the score for the film.

MMA fighter Mark Kerr (Dwayne Johnson) reaches the peak of his career but faces personal hardships.

The cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten, and Oleksandr Usyk.

Bone Lake

BONE LAKE is a 2024 psychological horror thriller film directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan, from a screenplay by Joshua Friedlander.

A couple’s romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate is upended when they are forced to share the mansion with a mysterious and attractive couple. In this darkly hilarious and seductive horror story, a dream getaway spirals into a nightmarish maze of sex, lies, and manipulation, bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a bloody battle for survival.

Good Boy

GOOD BOY is a 2025 supernatural horror film directed by Ben Leonberg in his feature directorial debut. Co-written by Leonberg and Alex Cannon, the film presents a haunted house narrative from the unique perspective of a dog. Good Boy premiered at South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 10, 2025.

Following the death of a family member, Todd (Shane Jensen) relocates with his dog Indy to an old rural farmhouse once owned by his grandfather (Larry Fessenden). Although the house is rumored to be haunted, Todd ignores the warnings. However, Indy begins to see disturbing supernatural presences throughout the home—entities invisible to humans but all too real to him.

The cast includes Larry Fessenden, Arielle Friedman, Indy, Shane Jensen, Anya Krawcheck & Stuart Rudin The film stars Shane Jensen, Arielle Friedman, Larry Fessenden, and Leonberg’s real-life dog Indy in the titular role.

Play Dirty

PLAY DIRTY is a 2025 action crime thriller film directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Charles Mondry and Anthony Bagarozzi, based on the “Parker” book series from author Donald E. Westlake, written under his pen name Richard Stark.

A professional thief (Mark Wahlberg) specializing in large-scale high-profit crimes gets a shot at a major heist where he must outsmart a South American dictator, the New York mob, and the world's richest man.

The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, Rosa Salazar, Keegan-Michael Key, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff, Thomas Jane, and Tony Shalhoub.

Chad Powers

CHAD POWERS is a 2025 sports comedy series created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron. The series is based on former NFL quarterback Eli Manning's character that he created for Eli's Places.

A disgraced college quarterback named Russ Holliday (Glen Powell) disguises himself as Chad Powers and walks onto a struggling southern football team to revive his football career.

The cast includes Glen Powell, Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Clayne Crawford, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Colton Ryan, Keese Wilson, Xavier Mills, and Quentin Plair.

MONSTER: The Ed Gein Story

MONSTER: THE ED GEIN STORY is the third season of the biographical crime drama anthology series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix. This season will focus on convicted murderer and suspected serial killer Ed Gein (Charlie Hunnam). Other main characters will include Gein's mother, Augusta (Laurie Metcalf), film director Alfred Hitchcock (Tom Hollander) and Hitchcock's wife, screenwriter and film editor Alma Reville (Olivia Williams).

ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER is a dark comedy action crime thriller film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Adam Somner and Sara Murphy serve as producers, with Will Weiske executive producing.

When their evil enemy resurfaces after 16 years, a group of ex-revolutionaries reunite to rescue one of their own's daughter.

The Strangers: Chapter 2

THE STRANGERS: CHAPTER 2 is a 2025 horror thriller film directed by Renny Harlin, and written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland. A direct sequel to THE STRANGERS: CHAPTER 1, it is the fourth film in The Strangers film series and is the second installment of a new trilogy of films.

When they learn that one of their victims, Maya (Madelaine Petsch), is still alive, they return to finish what they’ve started. With nowhere to run and no one to trust, Maya must survive another horrific chapter of terror as The Strangers – driven by a senseless, unceasing purpose – pursue her, more than willing to kill anyone who stands in their way.
