Okay so we have a Myspace trailer-park style catfish situation manufactured to try and catch a killer? Where do I sign up?! Seriously, Netflix has produced a number of documentaries that we can’t take our eyes off for one reason or another, and this looks to be yet another one to add to the list.

Werewolves Within

Werewolves Within is a 2021 comedy horror film directed by Josh Ruben, from a screenplay by Mishna Wolff, based on the video game of the same name from Red Storm Entertainment. It tells the story of a group of people in a small Vermont town who get trapped in a snowstorm only to suspect one of them is a werewolf. The cast includes Sam Richardson, Milana Vayntrub, George Basil, Sarah Burns, Michael Chernus, Catherine Curtin, Wayne Duvall, Harvey Guillén, Rebecca Henderson, Cheyenne Jackson, Michaela Watkins, and Glenn Fleshler.

Plans for a Werewolves Within film adaptation began in October 2018, with Wolff writing the script and Ubisoft Motion Pictures producing it. Cast was announced in early 2020 and principal photography began in February 2020.

Werewolves Within had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 16th, 2021, and began a limited theatrical release in the United States on June 25th, 2021, followed by a VOD release on July 2nd, by IFC Films. Watch the official trailer below.

Finding You

From Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone, 1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America's promised land - Montana.

No Sudden Move

No Sudden Move is a 2021 crime thriller directed by Steven Soderbergh, produced by Casey Silver, and written by Ed Solomon. It tells the story of a group of criminals that are brought together under mysterious circumstances, and have to work together to uncover what's really going on when their seemingly simple job goes completely sideways.

The talented cast includes Don Cheadle, Benicio del Toro, David Harbour, Jon Hamm, Ray Liotta, Kieran Culkin, Brendan Fraser, Noah Jupe, Julia Fox ,and Amy Seimetz. The film made its official debut at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 18th, 2021.

Curb Your Enthusiasm | Season 11

"I hate people individually, but I love mankind."

Curb Your Enthusiasm is a television sitcom that has been produced and broadcast by HBO since October 15th, 2000. The series was created by Larry David, who stars as a fictionalized version of himself. The series follows Larry in his life as a semi-retired television writer and producer in Los Angeles, and for one season, New York City. Also starring are Cheryl Hines as his wife Cheryl, Jeff Garlin as his manager and best friend Jeff Greene, and Susie Essman as Jeff's wife Susie. Curb Your Enthusiasm often features guest stars, many of them playing fictionalized versions of themselves.

As with Seinfeld, which David co-created, the humor of Curb Your Enthusiasm often revolves around the minutiae of American daily social life. Episodes frequently center on Larry's ignorance of or disregard for well-established social conventions and expectations, as well as his insistence that others adhere to rules of which only he seems to be aware.

The series was developed from a 1999 one-hour special, Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm, which David and HBO originally envisioned as a one-time project. The special was shot as a mockumentary, where the characters were aware of the presence of cameras and a crew.

Wolf Like Me

Wolf Like Me is a 2022 drama miniseries written and directed by Abe Forsythe, with Isla Fisher and Josh Gad serving as co-producers.

Everyone brings their own set of baggage to a new relationship. Gary (Josh Gad) and Mary (Isla Fisher) are no different. Gary is an emotional wreck and struggles to provide for his daughter since the death of his wife. Mary has a secret she can’t bring herself to share with anyone. The universe brought these two together for a reason, they just need to keep following the signs.

Concrete Cowboy

Based on the novel 'Ghetto Cowboy' by G.Neri, the film is directed by Ricky Staub and co-stars Jharrel Jerome, Byron Bowers, Lorraine Toussaint and Clifford "Method Man" Smith.

Titane

Titane is a 2021 body horror-thriller written and directed by Julia Ducournau, who made some waves in 2016 with her debut film, Raw. Following a series of unexplained crimes, a father is reunited with the son who has been missing for 10 years. Titane : A metal highly resistant to heat and corrosion, with high tensile strength alloys. The cast includes Agathe Rousselle, Vincent Lindon, Garance Marillier and Laïs Salameh. The film is a French and Belgian co-production.

Titane had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on July 13th, 2021, where Ducournau became the second female director to win the Palme d'Or. It was then released in France on July 14th, by Diaphana Distribution.

Titane is set for a limited theatrical release in the U.S. on October 1st. Watch the official trailer below.

Red Rocket

Red Rocket is a 2021 comedy drama film directed by Sean Baker, from a screenplay by Baker and Chris Bergoch. The film stars Simon Rex as Mikey Saber, a washed-up porn star who returns to his small Texas hometown, even though no one there really wants him back.

Red Rocket  premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival in competition for the Palme d’Or and is scheduled to be released in select theaters December 10th, by A24. Watch the official trailer below.

Bruised

Bruised is a 2021 sports drama directed by Halle Berry (in her directorial debut), from a screenplay by Michelle Rosenfarb. A disgraced MMA fighter finds redemption in the cage and the courage to face her demons when the son she had given up as an infant unexpectedly reenters her life.

The film stars Halle Berry, Shamier Anderson, Adan Canto, Sheila Atim, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Bruised had its world premiere at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival, on September 12th, 2020.

Belle

Belle (竜とそばかすの姫, Ryū to Sobakasu no Hime, literally "The Dragon and The Freckled Princess") is a 2021 Japanese animated science fantasy film written and directed by Mamoru Hosoda and produced by Studio Chizu. It is based on and inspired by the 1756 French fairy tale Beauty and the Beast by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont.

Belle is the third highest-grossing Japanese film of 2021, accounting for 6.53 billion yen (as of December 12) in box office, an equivalent of $56.9 million.

Belle received its world premiere on July 15th, 2021 at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where it was well-received by critics with a standing ovation that lasted fourteen minutes, the longest of any film shown at the festival, before being theatrically released in Japan on July 16, 2021.

Evil: Season 2

Agnes

Agnes is a 2021 horror thriller from director Micky Reece, who wrote the script with John Selvidge. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 12th, 2021.

Rumors of demonic possession at a religious convent prompts a church investigation into the strange goings-on among its nuns. A disaffected priest and his neophyte are confronted with temptation, bloodshed and a crisis of faith.

The cast includes Molly Quinn, Hayley McFarland, Sean Gunn, and Rachel True.

Landscapers

Inspired by real events, Landscapers tells a unique love story involving Chris and Susan Edwards (David Thewlis and Olivia Colman), a seemingly ordinary British couple who become the focus of an extraordinary investigation when two dead bodies are discovered in the back garden of a house in Nottingham.

Will Sharpe directs the exploration of love and fantasy, which is created and written by screenwriter Ed Sinclair. Additional cast includes Kate O’ Flynn, Dipo Ola, Samuel Anderson, David Hayman, Felicity Montagu and Daniel Rigby.

Beckett

From director Ferdinando Cito Filomarino, Beckett is a 2021 crime thriller from the producers of Call Me by your Name and Suspira. It tells the story of a man and his girlfriend who are vacationing in Greece when they are involved in a tragic accident. Following the events of the accident the man finds himself intertwined in a dangerous political conspiracy.

The cast includes John David Washington, Alicia Vikander, Boyd Holbrook, and Vicky Krieps.

Mayday

Mayday is a 2021 action drama written and directed by Karen Cinorre, in her directorial debut. Ana is transported to a dreamlike and dangerous land where she joins an army of girls engaged in a never-ending war. Though she finds strength in this exhilarating world, she realizes that she's not the killer they want her to be.

The cast includes Grace Van Patten, Mia Goth, Juliette Lewis, Soko and Havana Rose Liu.
