SCARY MOVIE (also known as Scary Movie 6 during development) is a 2026 horror comedy parody film directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House), and written by brothers Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans, with Rick Alvarez contributing to the screenplay as well. Officially the sixth film, it is a reboot/continuation of the franchise, coming 13 years after the last entry.

Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (Ghostface), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.

The cast includes Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Jon Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Dave Sheridan, Anthony Anderson, and Chris Elliott.

Atropia

ATROPIA is a 2025 satire war drama satire written and directed by Hailey Gates in her feature length debut, with Luca Guadagnino serving as a producer on the project. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival on January 25th, where it won the Grand Jury Prize in the festival's U.S. Dramatic Competition despite mixed reviews.

When an aspiring actress (Alia Shawkat) in a military role-playing facility falls in love with a soldier (Callum Turner) cast as an insurgent, their unsimulated emotions threaten to derail the performance.

The cast includes Alia Shawkat, Callum Turner, Chloe Sevigny, Zahra Alzubaidi, Tony Shawkat, Jane Levy, Tim Heidecker, and Lola Kirke.

The Christophers

THE CHRISTOPHERS is a 2025 comedy drama film directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Ed Solomon. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7th, 2025.

Julian Sklar (Ian McKellen) was once a star of London’s 1960’s and 70’s pop art explosion, but he hasn’t painted in decades and has been broke for years. His two estranged children (James Corden, Jessica Gunning), desperate for an inheritance, hire Lori, an art restorer and former forger (Michaela Coel), to pose as a prospective assistant in order to access 8 unfinished canvases Julian has buried deep in storage. Her plan is to complete them, then return them to storage, where they are to be “discovered” upon Julian’s death.

Th cast includes Ian McKellen, Michaela Coel, Jessica Gunning, and James Corden.

Magic Hour

MAGIC HOUR is a 2026 romantic drama film directed by Katie Aselton, from a screenplay she co-wrote with Mark Duplass. The film, which is produced by Duplass Brothers Productions, premiered at the South by Southwest film festival on March 7th,

Charlie (Daveed Diggs) and Erin (Katie Aselton) escape to the desert to navigate an unexpected and challenging new phase of their relationship.

The cast includes Daveed Diggs, Katie Aselton, Brad Garrett, and Susan Sullivan.

Passenger

PASSENGER is a 2026 supernatural horror thriller film directed by André Øvredal, who previously directed The Autopsy of Jane Doe (preview and trailer here), from a screenplay by T.W. Burgess and Zachary Donohue. The film created quite a bit of buzz as the trailer played exclusively in theaters during Scream 7, but was not available online until now.

After a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger won't stop until it claims them both.

The cast includes Melissa Leo, Lou Llobell, and Jacob Scipio.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera

DEN OF THIEVES 2: PANTERA is a 2024 action crime drama film written and directed by Christian Gudegast. It is a direct sequel to the 2018 film Den of Thieves (our full review here).

Sheriff Big Nick O'Brien (Gerard Butler) continues his relentless pursuit for Donnie Wilson (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), who manages to escape to Europe and is scheming yet another heist.

American Primeval

AMERICAN PRIMEVAL is a 2025 six-part war drama series written by Mark L. Smith and directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Lone Survivor). Berg, via Film 44, and Eric Newman, via Grand Electric, are executive producers.

A mother and son fleeing from their past form a found family while confronting a harsh landscape of freedom and cruelty in the American West.

The cast includes Taylor Kitsch, Saura Lightfoot Leon, Jai Courtney, Shea Whigham, Betty Gilpin, and Dane DeHaan.

SHIFTING GEARS is a 2025 comedy series from creators Mike Scully and his wife Julie Thacker, who both wrote episodes for The Simpsons.

Headstrong widower Matt (Tim Allen) owns a classic-car workshop. When his separated daughter (Kat Dennings) and her teenage children arrive at his house, the real restoration begins.

The cast includes Tim Allen, Kat Dennings, Sean William Scott, and Daryl Mitchell.

The daily lives of healthcare professionals in a Pittsburgh hospital as they juggle personal crises, workplace politics, and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients, revealing the resilience required in their noble calling.

ON CALL is a 2025 crime drama police procedural series created by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolfe. It is the first series from Dick Wolf, who serves as an executive producer, to be in the half-hour format.

A rookie and a veteran officer patrol duo in Long Beach, California, face the morality of protecting and serving a community.

Homestead

HOMESTEAD is a 2024 action drama thriller film directed by Ben Smallbone, from a screenplay by Phillip Abraham, Leah Bateman, and Ben Kasica.

Ex-Green Beret Jeff Eriksson and his family escape to The Homestead, an eccentric prepper’s fortress nestled in the mountains. The Brutalist

THE BRUTALIST is a 2024 epic historical drama film written and directed by Brady Corbet, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mona Fastvold. The film is an international co-production between the United States, United Kingdom, and Hungary.

The film premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on September 1, 2024, where it received critical acclaim for its direction, screenplay, cinematography, editing, production design, and performances—particularly those of Brody, Pearce, and Jones. Corbet was awarded the Silver Lion for Best Direction.

When visionary architect László Toth and his wife Erzsébet flee post-war Europe in 1947 to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of modern America, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious and wealthy client.

NUTCRACKERS is a 2024 comedy drama film directed by David Gordon Green, from a screenplay by Leland Douglas. The film premiered as the opening film of the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.

A strait-laced man (Ben Stiller) finds his life suddenly upended when he becomes the caregiver for his rambunctious, orphaned nephews.

The cast includes Ben Stiller, Linda Cardellini, Edi Patterson, Tim Heidecker, and Toby Huss.

Resident Evil

RESIDENT EVIL is a 2026 horror thriller film directed by Zach Cregger (Barbarian, Weapons), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Shay Hutton. The film is described as a reinvention of the Resident Evil franchise.

Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.

Toy Story 5

TOY STORY 5 is a 2026 computer animated family comedy adventure film directed by Academy Award® winner Andrew Stanton (WALL•E, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory), co-directed by Kenna Harris (Ciao Alberto) and produced by Lindsey Collins (Turning Red, WALL•E, Finding Dory).

Since Woody left Bonnie to help abandoned toys find owners, Jessie has led the charge in Bonnie's room, with Buzz Lightyear as her second-in-command. However, an eight-year-old Bonnie has become enamored of her new favorite plaything, a high-tech frog-shaped tablet named Lilypad.

It is set to be the 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and is the fourth film in the MCU Spider-Man film series following Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

DISCLOSURE DAY is a 2026 sci-fi drama film produced and directed by Steven Spielberg, from a screenplay by David Koepp, based on a story by Spielberg. Koepp previously worked with Spielberg on the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
