Escape Room: Tournament of Champions

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is a 2021 psychological horror film directed by Adam Robitel, and written by Will Honley, Maria Melnik, Daniel Tuch, and Oren Uziel. It is the sequel to the box office hit Escape Room that terrified audiences around the world back in early 2019. In the sequel, six people unwittingly find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive…and discovering they’ve all played the game before.

The cast includes Taylor Russell and Logan Miller reprising their roles from the first film, alongside new cast members Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Thomas Cocquerel, and Carlito Olivero.

Ride the Eagle

Ride the Eagle is a 2021 comedy drama directed by Trent O'Donnell, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jake Johnson. When Leif’s estranged mother Honey dies, she leaves him a "conditional inheritance." Before he can move into her picturesque Yosemite cabin, he has to complete her elaborate and sometimes dubious to-do list.

As We See It

As We See It is a 2022 coming-of-age comedy drama series from Jason Katims, the Emmy-Winning creator of Parenthood and Friday Night Lights.

The series follows Jack (Rick Glassman), Harrison (Albert Rutecki), and Violet (Sue Ann Pien), twentysomething roommates on the autism spectrum, as they strive to get and keep jobs, make friends, fall in love, and navigate a world that eludes them. With the help of their families, aide, and sometimes even each other, these roommates experience setbacks and celebrate triumphs on their own unique journeys towards independence and acceptance. Series stars Glassman, Rutecki, and Pien all identify as living on the autism spectrum.

The series also stars Sosie Bacon as their aide Mandy, Chris Pang as Violet’s brother Van, and Joe Mantegna as Jack’s father Lou.

The Green Knight

Written and directed by the talented David Lowery, the man behind Ain’t Them Bodies Saints (an under-the-radar gem I HIGHLY recommend), A Ghost Story, and The Old Man & the Gun, The Green Knight is a 2021 epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend. It tells the story of Sir Gawain, King Arthur's reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men.

Swan Song

Swan Song is an 2021 science fiction drama film written and directed by Benjamin Cleary and produced by Mahershala Ali, Rebecca Bourke and Jonathan King.

Set in the near future, Swan Song is a powerful, emotional journey told through the eyes of Cameron (Mahershala Ali), a loving husband and father diagnosed with a terminal illness who is presented with an alternative solution by his doctor (Glenn Close) to shield his family from grief. As Cam grapples with whether or not to alter his family’s fate, he learns more about life and love than he ever imagined. Swan Song explores how far we will go, and how much we’re willing to sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people we love.

Alongside Ali, the film includes Naomie Harris, Awkwafina, Glenn Close and Adam Beach in supporting roles.

The Tragedy of Macbeth

The Tragedy of Macbeth is a 2022 historical thriller film written and directed by Joel Coen and based on the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. It is the first film directed by one of the Coen brothers without the other's involvement.

A Scottish lord becomes convinced by a trio of witches that he will become the next King of Scotland. His ambitious wife will do anything to support him in his plans of seizing power.

The film stars Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand (who also produced the film), Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Harry Melling, and Brendan Gleeson.

The Tragedy of Macbeth had its world premiere at the 2021 New York Film Festival on September 24, 2021. It had a limited theatrical release on December 25th, 2021, by A24, and will be streaming on Apple TV+ from January 14, 2022. Watch the official trailer below.

Encanto

Encanto is a 2021 computer-animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The 60th film produced by the studio, it is directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, co-directed by Charise Castro Smith, and produced by Clark Spencer and Yvett Merino, with original songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Set in a fantasy version of Colombia, it tells the story of Mirabel Madrigal, a young Colombian woman dealing with the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers, who must go on a journey to save her family and their house when their magic is in danger of disappearing.

The film stars the voices of Stephanie Beatriz, John Leguizamo, María Cecilia Botero, Diane Guerrero, Jessica Darrow, Angie Cepeda, and Wilmer Valderrama.

Succession: Season 3

Succession is a drama television series created by Jesse Armstrong, it premiered on June 3rd, 2018, on HBO. The series centers on the Roy family, the dysfunctional owners of Waystar RoyCo, a global media and entertainment conglomerate, who are fighting for control of the company amid uncertainty about the health of the family's patriarch, Logan Roy.

Being the Ricardos is a 2021 biographical drama film written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, with Amazon acquiring the rights to the film in August of 2017.

A revealing glimpse of the couple's complex romantic and professional relationship, the film takes audiences into the writers' room, onto the soundstage and behind closed doors with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz during one critical production week of their groundbreaking sitcom I Love Lucy.
